Personally I understand if a few gas stations stay open and maybe one or two restaurant, maybe the ones right off the interstate to help travelers for Chritmas Day. Thanksgiving Day doesn't really matter to me. But Christmas day I got everything taken care of before Christmas so I don't need or want to go anywhere. Just to be with family is the best a person can have on Christmas day, when all the kids, grand kids and great grand kids come home and drive me bonkers for 2 or 3 days, haha just joking:)aunts, uncles, cousins~g ood time for all I will be wearing my cross of love and know Jesus is king of all kings and your only way to Salvation Of course the atheist I'm sure will disagree But for me and my family~we believe~God bless and have a wonderful Christmas and a Blessed and healthy new year.

I think everything should be open 24/7. We have so many different cultures and religions here in the USA that they could always have someone who does not celebrate that holiday work or if not that shorten the shifts that day. I always worked holidays, Christmas,Thanksgiving,July 4,MemorialDay and all the other. Have all the extra days and extra hours would create more jobs which we sure do need. If people don't like working those hours then get a job with the post office, a bank or the government.

I think they should be closed. Families need to spend that day together.

It's because customers won't stay home they get mad when the stores are closed. That's why people that work don't get to spend time with their families. But on the other hand some people don't have family but the people they work with so it helps them get to spend time with people. Stores use to be closed on Sundays but now that's one of the busiest days so its because of customer demand

GIVE ME A BREAK! Everybody eats on their own with their computer, ipod or texting away. Families NEVER sit around the kitchen table these days.

If you want holidays and Sundays off go work in a bank NOT a retail establishment.
