Inmate death at SRJ

It was mentioned on Channel 6 news this past week that the death is still under investigation.

By any chance.. are they investigating themselves? It should be done by an outside source!

he was beat to death, literally.. im not sure if it was by a police officer or an inmate, i know he was there for a few days, and then he was found dead. He was transported to my Moms hospital. and yes, they are covering it up

Of course they are. You know they are going to say it was another inmate.

I have been listening for the outcome of the investigation on the news but so far I have not heard another report. Have I missed it? I heard that the person took an overdose before being arrested. I have also been told by a former inmate that prisoners suffer when they are sick. Diabetics especially are mistreated at SRJ.

No, they are probably a past employee who did their share of inmate abuse.

Glad you are judge and jury. Believe it or not innocent people do go to jail. That is the problem with so many people. They think because a person gets arrested and put in jail automatically makes them guilty. Wonder why they have a court and jury since they automatically guilty.

Seems like there is a class of sub-human beings..that it makes a 'man' out of them..to give them a badge and a gun. Does society care until it happens to them personally? I would like to see a forum where people TELL what is done behind these closed doors. You need to be held responsible for doing wrong, including the manly little badge/gun wearers.

yea, thats so true, my mom went to jail for somthing she didn't do. she "violated" a retraining order, when it wasn't even her! it was her sister!... and she spent the night in jail, for no reason. The system is so messed up. If you have a restraining order on someone, the person that has it on you can call the police and say the person violated it. and then you'll be arrested. same as, if the person has one against you, they can come around you, go to your house or anything and you cant do anything, because its against you. so, therefore, you need to have one on them too saying they cant come around you, or they WILL be able too, and you cant do NOTHIN!

Yeah, I know. I don't know why we bother to keep jails/prisons open. Every thread that I have been on, everyone has claimed their innocence...followed up with several posters claiming their situations and their innocence. Looks like our law enforcement is BS. Let's close everything down and save some tax dollars.
