You definitely don't live in WV coalfields.
No, I don't. But my husband is an engineer for a mining company and I am proud of the fact that he and so many other WV resident are educated and keep this country's lights and heat on! I was raised on a farm that has been in my father' family since the mid 1700's and I'm proud of my Appalachian heritage. I just hate seeing a few ignorant kids get on television and perpetuate the stereotype that everyone who live in this beautiful state acts and thinks like the kids on the show and their parents. I could just see me telling my father that I was going to be on some tv show acting like a fool for all the world to see! As old as I am, he'd come after me with his belt, and I can't say I wouldn't blame him!

Where is the home-training? Where are the parents in all of this that are supposed to teach their children how to act???

This just makes me heartsick.

I was raised on a farm too, must have been an ex rated version of yours. I spent a great deal of my time hog tied behind the house but I remember us finding a powder horn, we where blowing stuff up all over the farm, cousin had put some gun powder in his pocket, nearly blew his pecker off. Getting splatted with cow shit was always something you had to be aware of, fire crackers m 80s worked great for that, Throwing a rock in a pile worked too, if you could run fast. You had to be on your toes constantly for all kinds of crazy crap people did.But I did live with my parents some, Military. Yep!!! I didn't act hillbilly around them, THE BELT!!!! PS I like the Hillbilly life LOTS MORE!!!

I'm sure enjoying various sites' comment sections on this show, and the amount of West Virginians defending our state by saying that these young people are actors that were brought in from elsewhere to depict us in an unfavorable light. The parents defending the acts of their children on the show is downright scary. They should be embarrassed and ashamed, but they aren't. Like the old song says, I suppose, "money changes everything".
These kids are not actors my nephew is very good friends with Tyler Boulet on this show and they are far from being actors so get your facts straight. They are young kids having a good time whom happened to be taped while doing so, what is the big deal???

. You want to be the one who makes me shut my mouth? Bet you can't do it! Now what are you going to do? The show is degrading to the educated people that didn't grow up in some holler. I'm not saying that growing up in the smaller towns or rural areas are not educated, everyone can go to college no matter where they live, just don't label most of the West Virginias in the group of that show.

What are you, an illiterate hillbilly? It's called a hollow, not a holler. You can't even comprehend why I'd told you to shut your damned mouth, can you? No, I don't want to be the one to make you shut it. Just don't try to get by with misrepresenting something that I've said on here and then I won't tell you to shut your damned mouth. Deal?

Please take a second look at my comment which you've quoted and see if you can figure out who doesn't have their facts straight.

You could have killed someone and all you want to do is tell me to shut up and do a damn spelling check. Grow up. Just goes to show that you're one of those with no class, respect or education. Now I understand why you like the show so much

I'm seriously blessed, big time, for not killing someone when I dropped an M-80 off an interstate overpass on Halloween night 40 years ago. Yeah, little ol' innocent me! I'd waited for an approaching car, lit it, and dropped it so that it exploded underneath the car. Oh, thank God the car didn't catch fire. The driver pulled over and then came after me and my friends, but he didn't catch us. I still can't believe I ever did such a horrible thing as that, but, I did. Lol, I think I might of been sort of buck wild.

From what I see around here, Buckwild is about many West Virginian's and the way they act. Where I live, it would be perfect for Jerry Springer.

What pisses me off about this state is that coal miners think they are GOD. They think if it weren't for them, this country could not go on. Back in the old days, coal miners were respected for what they did. They didn't brag, drive around with nasty stickers on their vehicles with a man on his knees looking between a woman's leg saying something about going deeper. No, they were more mature than that. They were hard workers. Young punk miners today have it made. They don't have to do nearly the back breaking work those hard working men had to do and now they act like they are better than everyone else. Lose your job, then see where your EDUCATION takes ya. Most don't have an education, yet act like they are so high and mighty. Can't stay in the dark ages forever, technology changes.

COULD have killed someone? People with this view are the ones that never get out and experience life because something bad COULD happen. These type of people are really the ones that give the people of this state a bad name because in the name of safety they have never ventured out and experienced life and dwell in their small little world condemning those that do. My guess also one of the people that set around bitching about what somebody did to them or somebody else 20 or 30 years ago. You can have all the education in the world and be a clueless idiot. So I say GO BUCK WILD!!!! BY GOD!!!
