I am 30 years old and had my first child at RGH. They made me very uncomfortable and brushed off every concern that I had. They made me feel
unimportant and stupid. I will definitely go to Princeton or Charleston the next time around.

My regular gyn is Dr Lindley with Assoc. I really like him. I have referred several people to him and they like him also. But I'm not pregnant so I don't know what he's like for that.

I have heard so many people reccomend him, if I were to choose to go there again. I have requested an appointment with him, but he is always booked for a while and I could not wait. This tells me he must be pretty good!
Oh he is.. He was very good with me when I lost one of my twins and very compassionate.. Dr. Resley really cares for his patients..

Little twist on the question...but does anyone know a good reproductive specialist for fertility testing??
I went to Dr. Mariam Abraham will do some fertility testings. She helped me. And there is a Dr. in bluefield wv I cant think of his name right now but He helped my friend get pregnant, and he marked it so her insurance would pay for it. most insurances will not pay for fertility problems but Dr. abraham and the doc in princeton got around it. I will call my friend tomorrow and post his name on here

Thanks!! I would really appreciate it. We have been trying for over two years now with nothing. And finding a Dr who could get insurance to pay for it would be wonderful!

Dr. Nieto in Princeton is well worth the drive. He is a little eccentric but if you are open mindedou should have not problems. I went to him with a high risk pregnancy and he was always very thorough and paid very close attention to everything. He even cought a potential problem before it was anything serious. I loved him

Could anyone here tell me where Dr. Tucker has relocated to since leaving practice with Dr. Huffman? I was going to try Dr. Huffman but heard bad things on her, so I think I'm going to try Tucker. I too am sick and tired of the associates, I've been seeing them for almost 9 years and enough is enough, I want my husbands insurance to pay for a real doctors visit and for all my concerns to be listened to.

i think she is with Dr. Ellington now...i may be wrong, but that is what i heard. If you can't find her, try Nieto or Ellington. They are both really good.

I wouldn't let by wife's dog go to the associates. Dr Lalalalala told her that she was fat (hello, pregnant chick) and that she would have a complicated pregnancy. We went to charleytown and never looked back.

I was told (by military docs) only to gain 10-12 pounds during my pregnancy or I would break an operating table. I weight 240 at the time, which is big but not that big... how can you tell a pregnant person that?

Ive never been to the associates, but Jamette Huffman in Princeton is absolutely wonderful. She will take the time to talk to you. And I had a great experience at Princeton Hospital. They are breastfeeding friendly also. It was well worth the travel.

Doctor preferences aside, if you are pregnant, Beckley does not have a NICU. I highly recommended Charleston which has a NICU. If your child has any problems, Beckley has to fly them to Charleston or Huntington, and it could be too late.

I seen Dr. Webb and he is wonderful. He is so down to earth and you can really tell that he cares about you. He always took the time to answer any questions I had and he just made me feel so very comfortable he is the best.

They have the counties of Raleigh, Fayette and Wyoming. It's close and a shame there is no choice. I had my experience and mine was a near death after delivery. Afterwards, and recovering everyone was more than happy to help. I just wish there were more options for Raleigh County.

Found out I was pregnant, called The Associates, explained that it was my first pregnancy, my age is 37, etc. Was told that the first appointment isn't necessary until after 12 weeks. I was astounded, I had to INSIST that she give me an appointment since I had alot of questions like how should I be eating, can I exercise and so on. Isn't the first trimester the most important as far as setting the stage for a healthy pregnancy? At any rate, a friend of mine suggested a doc in Charleston and when I called, the receptionist had me in there within two weeks for a vaginal ultrasound and consult with the nutritionist and doctor. She could not believe that The Associates told me it wasn't necessary to see anyone until after 12 weeks.

Michelle, a friend of mine was told the same thing when she was pregnant. The associates wouldnt see her until after 12 weeks also. I dont think that is good practice at all.
