Again Looking VERY Foolish!
Answer the question WHO IS DOING free clinics like the guy asked?

The fella stated that the baseball facility needs to do free clinics for little league. what other businesses are doing free clinics? Last time I checked EVERY clinic costs money!

All clinics cost money, but I am saying if he would let it go and quit responding to these posts then it would die down and nothing else would be said.

Now clinics do cost money but we are an average household with 3 kids, there is no way I can afford to send my kids there.

He obviously did something right because they hadn't been to the state tournament in a 11 years with basically the same type of talent.

I haven't seen to many travel coaches that develop alot of talent.

What I read from your post, you didn't mention anything about letting anything go... but rather you sounded like you were discrediting a business because it charged money for its product.

You did say that they should do clinics for free, and you did specifically address the people who own the Upper Deck business as being greedy.

How much do they charge? You havent answered... just threw out criticism.

Have you contacted that company and actually TALKED to them about your situation and cost?

I know Matt has allowed me to bring my child in on several occassions for assistance at that facility, and never once asked for a charge.

As I read these back tracking of responses, it seems clear that you not only havent talked to them personally, nor have you any idea of what they do or charge to know if it is too expensive or not.

When it comes to Tim Epling, I know one thing, he needs to quit playing doctor. My son tweaked his arm and Tim looked at it. I trusted Tim due to him being around ball so much. He had my son do some different movements and said that he should not pitch for the remainder of the day and to ice it. When we visited the doctor the next day, the doctor said the movements and stretches that Tim did were the worst thing you could have done as it irritated the muscle. The only thing Tim did right was suggest we see a doctor. So Tim, while you might know baseball, please quit trying to be a doctor.

Well Happy Daddy you my non friend is quite WRONG I have spoke with him and I do know how much he charges, and I did NOT say that they should be done for free, You need to go back and re-read I said Clinics are not free.

What I said was an average family could not afford to take their child to the facility.

And yet still another post without telling us HOW MUCH he charges.

So again, you need to go back and reread the posts as well, only this time quit avoiding the real questions.

Here you go again with the problem of making a PROFIT. THeir batting machnes alone inside that facility cost how much you think? He has a right to charge whatever he wishes, and when I have been there, there have been plenty of people there who can afford it, or choose to afford it without any complaints.
Again as I have read these posts again, all thee accusations without any answers to the questions given like "Who does these free clinics?" and "How much does he charge that is sooo outrageous?"

Playing Doctor? He suggested you go to a doctor, and told you to rest it... ice it... really bad advice! DAMN him!

(A.)I must apologize because when did Tim Epling become a baseball god? I know his teams at Liberty never did anything, and WVU Tech was terrible.
(B.)Did he apply for the job at Woodrow when it became open after Tom Parham retired? If he did, then I guess he was passed up for the job or he didn't have a teaching job.
(C.)Mark Daniel will stay as long as he wants at Woodrow. He already had accomplished more in 10 years than Tom Parham did in 25 years.
(D.)Lastly, I won't name any names, but how about the kid who played at Woodrow this year who spent all year training at your facility? His dad is friends with Tim and helps out at the new stadium. I watched him play and he had zero chance of hitting on the varsity level. My understanding is that he hit under .100 on the year. He was a decent pitcher, but whoever taught him to hit the way he does might want to try something else because he wasted a lot of money to only bat for that average. Just my opinion.
I'll be frank, with all due respect... what has Tim done? Liberty and WVU Tech did nothing under him.... lol Please refute these facts:

TIM EPLING

1996 - 2000 Field Manager, Liberty High School; Led the baseball program to its first Sectional Championship.

In five seasons, Tim compiled a 101-32 record.

2001 - 2008 Head Coach, West Virginia Tech Baseball Program; During those 7 years, WVU beat 32 nationally ranked teams. One of the victories was against #1 ranked Emery Riddle, who ended up as runner-up in the NAIA College World Series. His pitching staff was consistently ranked in the top 5 programs in the country. His pitching staff pitched 3 no hitters in 3 consecutive years.

2008 - In the fall of 2008, Coach Epling founded the Upper Deck Baseball/Softball Training Center with the intent to bring a unique approach of baseball/softball development to Southern West Virginia. Coach Epling often travels around the United States speaking to players and coaches. In addition, Tim trains various elite players and develops comprehensive programs on pitching and hitting for coaches at all levels of instruction.

Just thought I'd mention it. Tim is good for baseball in Beckley and WV

Park Middle school finished the regular season in 3rd place and I am not even sure if Beckley Stratton won a game. There is an example of how poor the baseball talent in Beckley has gotten.

Take a trip up to the eastern panhandle and watch the baseball talent in Jefferson County. You would be amazed at how good these kids are at the early ages and how good they are by the time they reach high school. Come back to Beckley and watch poor the kids fundamentals are in Little League and Babe Ruth. To see kids throwing side-arm from the outfield and not knowing where to play in the field when they are 13 and 14 is totally amazing.

I compare it to Beckley and Greenbrier East/Princeton in basketball. Watch how fundamentally sound the kids are here in basketball at the early ages and how poor they are in Princeton and East. It shows on the court by the time they get to high school. East finally got past Beckley this year after a 25 year hiatus.

I can agree with that.
Even more reason for a baseball facility and program to re energize baseball in the area.
I am all for private groups creating training for Beckley. I was given a walk through at Upper Deck Friday, and I have to dsay quite impressive.
Eplings, you all keep it up!
