I would like to know what is happening at the Moose Club in Beckley. It use to be a really good place to go and listen to good live bands and dance. It has nothing worth going to see now. I don't know anything about Eddie but sure seems like something is fishy . They have a besutiful new building but nothing else.

The Moose is thriving what are you talking about. Have you been by there on thursday evenings and seen the cars lined up everywhere? Looks like they are doing something right to me.

The parking lot is full of cars but no entertainment there anymore. People go there to eat and then leave. Check it out on a saturday night , see for yourself. A total waste of time. Eddie needs a wake up call and stop booking off the wall bands and book some real musicians. It was much better a few years ago .

Gravly, Hodge, push here, pool there. No organization! Seems fat cats keep getting fatter. No one agrees on anything. Turmoil, animosity, BAD entertainment. Lies, Lies, Lies. Whats new it's just the BECKLEY f...ing moose club. Try the Elks!

Yea when you give away money then people will come.This is why people come early but when the money's gone then the crowds gone! Nothing keeps them there. Maybe eddie should have a wet-boobie night or something. This may keep all the 70 year old pervs there.

And I suppose you'd rather hang out at the local Pikeview or DeSotos where people get red-asses and fight? The Moose is a good place to go and hang out with friends where your able to carry a conversation with your company without having to scream over the music and without having to worry about Billy bob gonna whip Jethro or Tyrone pulling out a gun. I think they do a good job.

Moose is stuck with that old building they will never be able to sale it !! They started going downhill as soon as they moved but with Americans with Disabilities law it caused the downfall.

I hate to see the moose go. It could really be a nice thing , again . I know for a fact that he will not book good entertainment. Bands that had been coming there for years can't get a booking there now. Seems to me they have to be taking in good money or else the regular employees wouldnt be there. The new DJ is good and tries to please everyone with the music. I think its just pick whoever the old guys that are always hanging around want to book. I have seen some really nice bands there in the past but nothing for the last 2 years. Oh and if they are hurting so bad for money. The members have to pay a cover charge to listen to the DJ !!! I say run the moose the right way for all the members or close it down . The Princeton , Bluefield and Charleston moose are very nice!!!

Our Moose Club is very nice, its not shutting down and their revenue is just fine. Im young and visit there often without any compalint. The ol' guys do a good job picking entertainment, if someone chooses to goto a bar and raise hell and listen to rap music there are other places for that.

Just to let you know.. I go to Pikeview and I go to Desoto's.. There is never any issues at Desoto's, and a few at Pikeview. So, maybe you need to hang with the old people at the Moose.

Desotos is the place if you like to hang out with very young people And listen to the sam eols song list from the past 10 years. Morgans is too small and that DJ John isn't very good . He likes to insult too many on karaoke night and just seems to play what his gf wants to hear or dance to. Oh BTW when you go through door at Morgans , don't take one step away from the door untill the big big guy asks you for your cover charge. They are so affraid someone is going to get in without paying them their 2 or 3 bucks it's pathetic, That guy will follow you or even interrupt a conversation and ask for the money. Morgans is not a friendly place . At least at Desotos the staff is welcomes you there.

I do like going to Desoto's and your right, the staff is friendly. Also what is up with the door guy at Morgans, he is a A*s.

if you're over 70 go to the Moose. If you are barely 21 and like to fight go to Desotos. EVERYONE FROM 21-70 GO TO MORGANS!!! It's far better than the other two.
