Historically the worlds oldest profession is that of a flint knapper.

Actually I am wrong. It was the stone knapper.Flint and obsidian came later in prehistory.

A profession is where someone recieves something for a service rendered. It takes time and expertise to fashion something such as a spearhead out of any type of stone. This meant the knapper devoted all his time to fashioning things for the entire tribe. He did not have the time to devote to hunting in order to feed himself. He was too valuable to the tribe's survival to place him at risk while hunting. It was very dangerous and the tribe couldn't afford to lose his expertise. Therefore,he stayed at the camp area and worked at his profession. The tribe payed him for his services by supplying his with all of his needs, mostly by insuring he was fed.Stone points, knives, scrappers=food supply.Simple.

That news story & video was kind of interesting. Part II will probably be a little better. Are you a hooker, Tina?

I believe the one on the news makes more of her money NOT "screwing"... at least that's what she said :)....Her customers want "other services." :)

Martin Staunton sure led that pitiful woman with her answers. Hands down, I've never seen such an unusual (hooker) interview. To me, it seemed like something else.

Over All Of It,

No offense,I believe you are referring to wampum, which were strings of beads used by North American indians for money. That would be far later in history.I am talking pre-history.
I honestly cannot believe there were couples way back in the dimness of pre-history.The genetic pool would not allow it,there were not enough members in the tribes.
The males were in total control. If they wanted sex they simply seized the nearest woman. That is when male chavinism actually started. The woman had absolutely no rights at all.The stone knapper dealt directly with the other males of the tribe.
Of course, scrappers and small knives were made foe skinning and cutting up of meat, however, they were the tribes possessions, they did not belong to individual women until much later.

Scrappers and knives to cut up meat were actually by-products of the knapping process.
