Mental health check in order!

Arrested and out on bond...

Texas mother Lori Darling David is facing charges for allegedly sending nude pictures of herself to her friend's 16-year-old son.

The 37-year-old is charged with online solicitation of a minor.

According to CBS affiliate KHOU, investigators said David used to be jogging buddies with the victim's mother, and that the victim and David's son, also 16, were classmates and friends.

The victim told investigators David befriended him while she was volunteering at Katy Taylor High School and asked to be his friend on Facebook.

The victim said he and David then began communicating via Facebook, e-mail and text message on a regular basis, and their conversations were often sexual.

According to court documents obtained by KHOU, David sent the teen two lewd photos of herself on Oct. 14.

Investigators said David was completely nude in both photos.

Lucky boy, do you think he objected - he was 16 not four - I imagine his mother has caused him more pain and humilation by making abig deal than the woman ever would. Parents, sometimes I wonder if they even think. Sheeeeeesh. Most guy and man, even rational thinking women, are saying, Lucky Boy - except for the drama queen mom who probably ruined his life by making this a public issue. Didn't she even think of her son a little bit?

Sorry, hourglass, I usually think you are straight up right, but the mother of the boy should have thought of what harm she was doing to her child when she made this public. Poor kid, the mom probably ruined him for life and he probably would have never been harmed otherwise. Think about it - he was sixteen, most sixteen year old guys look at nude pictures all the time. The mother was stupid to do this to this kid who would have been normal otherwise. Don't people even think about the kid first, then how to handle a delicate situation????????? Stupid woman, uncaring, unthinking and just plain dumb. When I was sixteen, I had sen planty of nude pictures, so this could have been handled in a way as to not ruin the boy with his peers and the public. Stupid, Stupid Stupid mother. Do you think he really respects what his mother did?

Mental Health check

I think both these women need a mental health check. The one who sent the pictures and the drama queen who humiliated her son. Once I sent a stack of pictures to my stepson, in one of them was a picture of me in a kind of low cut jogging suit which was baggy but showed a little cleavage. The mother of my step son called the police and claimed I had sent him porn and made a huge deal out of nothing. She was luaghed at of course but a year later I see her picture on face book right along side infant children with a dress cut down to her navel and big brat implants sticking out of the dress, much lower than the jogging suit she made such a big deal out of. To me, the drama the kid is subjected to sure hurts him worse than an innocent picture I sent. I venture to say the boy was injuured much more by the drama queen mother making this public than he ever would have been by the pictures. Common sense applied, look at the big picture folks.

These older women on facebook and twitter trying to act like high school kids kill me. I see these older women way up in their thirties on there in their skimpy tops with little kids listed as friends and I think - WHAT are they thinking? Women over the age of thirty need to leave the facebook and twitter to the kids. They have much more important issues to address. Such a desperate plea for attention. Gotta agree, if that was my mom who made this a public issue I would divorce her as a parent and never speak to her again. WHAT was she thinking. I would have went to her and told her if it went any further than the pictures I would go to the police, and maybe punched her in the face, but to embarrass and humilate the young man like this is pure drama and unforgivable. There were more private options, after all no sex took place and it stopped at pictures. Why ruin the young man's life too?

Is the young man OK? Has he stopped having nightmares about this? Do you think he will survive? I bet he suffers trauma - haha- from his drama queen of a mother that is. I bet there is much more to this story, maybe a fued between the two women - maybe another kid taking the pics, who knows, but the mother of the boy must be a real drama queen. I bet the woman who sent the picture is a looker and the mother is a chub.

Okay. So there was no crime committed. In your world, then, the perpetrator, a 37 year old female who "pursued" her friend's son, who is also her son's friend, is not breaking any laws. Further, her having the absence of mind that she was leaving a trail of evidence for her victim's parents to find, and turn over to the authorities, which they did, makes those parties the ones who are in the wrong. Is that how you actually see it, or are you not comprehending what happened?

Maybe if you could look at it from the standpoint of your own mother, and if she developed the "hots" for one of her friend's kids, of whom the kid was also your friend. Would you condone your mother being a pervert and breaking the law in this manner? Would you not be concerned that she also lacked the mental capacity to even realize that she was leaving behind a trail of tangible evidence?

You all might want to sit down for this, but I agree with hourglass (GASP). I think it's sickenng that a 37 year-old would have conversations of "a sexual nature" and send nude photographs to a minor. I would be FURIOUS if a woman did this to my child, and he's 17. How would all of you feel if it were a 37 year-old man doing this to a 16 year-old girl? I'm sure people would feel much differently. Adults should have sexual contact (verbal, visual, and physical) with other adults.

i understand what everyones saying...he's a 16 year old boy big deal yada yada yada and it's true, the majority have seen nude women im sure.BUT if it were a 37 year old male sending nudes to an "almost of age" female people would have a fcking field day with it! theyd be like oh that poor girl and that old pervert should be shot, cmon people you know its true:)

Yes, if it were the other way around people would be thinking what a dirty old man or pervert. But the facts are it wasn't. This was a young man subject to all the peer pressure and things a young man is subject to. His mother ruined his teenage life by making a public drama out of this. Did she not stop to think what she was doing to the young man and for what???? I am SURE he would have rather it be handled in a private way with no charges took.
After all, in one year he could have made the decision himself, he would have been 18 and the real age of the woman was 35 not 37 but you know how the media is, it looked worse (better?) if they listed his age at 16 and hers at 37. Point is the mother of the young man ruiuned his life and what did she accomplish. Yes, if this was a young girl, I would feel differently, unless I found out she had actually threw herself at some older man, but like someone already said with young girls today, they are already sexting naked pictures of themself at age 13, so I am sure this young man was not offended. The point is the young man was not a child in any form, he was nearly 18, which is legal age of consent, and he should have been able to chose if he wanted to have his life ruined, not the overbearing mother. In one short year, he probably would have been boinking women of all ages and nothing his mother could do about it. I jusst feel sorry for what the mother did to a young man in this instance because of peer pressure, all the ridicule he will be subjected to at school (probably will drop out now) and how this affected him. I am sure he enjoyed the pictures and asked for more of the same. If you have raised both boys and girls, you should realize they is a HUGE difference in how we view the two. How many times have you found porn in your teenages daughters room compared to a teenage boys room. Almost any teenage boy over the age of 15 looks at naked ladies, and none of them care how old the woman is. Been that way since the beginning of time and nothing will ever change it. Boys sexual peak is in there twenties, let Boys be Boys,. There was no sex in this instance, and like I said, in a few months he could have legally boinked the woman if he wanted to. Yes, the woman who sent the pictures was wrong, but so was the mother of the young man for not taking his life into consideration. He was no baby, and he was not a girl. Just a normal red blooded young man - who now is labled the biggest wussy in school. Otherwise he might have been labled the luckiest senior in school.
Huge difference

Huge difference, and the boy was 17 not 16 and the woman was 35 not 37, not that makes any difference. But if you don't know why there is a huge difference in a 17 year old boy looking at naked pictures and a grown man sending naked pictures to a young girl, then I ain't going to explain it. HUGE DIFFERENCE, just the way society looks at things and always will. Just like it is ok with society for a old man of 50 to date women half his age (24-25) but if a woman of that age would date a boy in his twenties, society would think it was awful. Huge difference in how a parent raises girls and boys. Just is. Accpet it and don't treat a young boy like a young girl or he will become just that - a very confused young man.

The woman sending the pictures broke the law. The mother turned the woman in for breaking the law. Perhaps the blame for "ruining a boy's life" should be placed on the shoulders on whoever leaked it to the media then. His life most certainly isn't ruined , BTW. I'm sure he's still getting high-fives in the locker room. Suely he's also telling his friends that he "tapped that". The boy is just fine.

I just LOVE your double standard. So, it's bad if the genders were reversed, but perfectly "OK" since they weren't. What a hypocrate!

What harm

I mean what harm did the woman who sent the pictures do? From what I have read, the young man was certainly NOT a virgin, he had been with several older women and admitted he had sex with them, he was NOT offended by the pictures, he was chasing the old 36 year old woman, had pursued for some time, he enjoyed the pictures, he was nearly 18, and admitted he would date the woman when he turned 18, he liked what he saw, and there was no REAL crime committed, so what was the harm done????? I fail to understand why the woman was arrested, as someone just said the boy is jusst fine. Probably will continue to see the woman and hate his mom is all - why did the mother of the young man have to ruin the woman's life, myself, I would have handled things a bit more private because she had to realize that once an arrest was made, this would be made very public. And you are right the boy is probably bragging right now that he tapped that, all the criminal charges and public attention are the results of his drama queen mother. And yes, most people wh have both boys and girls can figure out the difference here. And it is hypocrite not hypocrate. Yes, the boy is just fine, point made, he is probably getting high fives in the locker room, so WHY did the mother have to do that to him and the woman in the pictures. Fail to understand why someone would do that unless their child was a virgin, she hurt him in some way, he was offended by it, the young man was going to be a preist or monk, or it hurt him in some way, I fail to understand why she had her arrested. Yes, the woman broke the law but so do you when you exceed the speed limit or accidentally run a red light, but no harm done, but you could have wrecked or hurt someone - this is no more than someone making something out of nothing.

Which one? There are literally hundreds of them out there now and all of them have conflicting information. I simply chose the one I felt was most believable and went with it. That is the trouble with the media, they can have a field day on something like this because they love the controversy. Another reason the mother of the boy should have handled this differently. Lots of varying versions of this story. What it boils down to, no harm was done to the young man, and he states he would date the woman after he turns 18. Yes, the woman broke the law, we all do at some time in our life, but no harm was done, and the boy is probably loving every minute of the pictures part, so why the huge houflah?
