We've had a hard to finding an apartment for our daughter, but thanks to the dissolution of Mountain State U., rent should return to normal. Here's a list we found of rent for communities in order of median rent, as reported by City-Data.com . Does anyone here think rent will moderate now in Beckley?
Harpers Ferry $756
Berkeley Springs $682
White Sulphur Springs $472

Are these medians for 1,2 or 3 BR apts.? But in my opinion, I dont think prices will change (maybe increase).

Keep looking. Near Septmeber it's tough. If you can wait until December you should be able to find something good. Plus, it all depends on what you are looking for. Look in the Mountain Trader. You can do far better this way instead of using a real estate agent.

Beckley is high for commercial property rent also. I do agree with earlier poster about MSU probably effecting rent. Many landlords purchased additional properties due to MSU students needing housing. Lots of those units are now empty. If they were financed foreclosure may increase in Beckley.
