how now brown cow wrote: <quoted text> you know what, if you are referring to the pastor, this does nothing to encourage me. the problem, to me, goes way beyond this one man now. how can anyone trust the cog at this point? since it has taken cog general office this long to get involved, one can only conclude that the decrease in tithes/giving and attendance is the only thing that has spurred them to action. is that all that matters to them? money is the most important factor? and, just because the pastor may be leaving, that doesn't automatically mean my family and i will be going back. also worth questioning is the issue of the administrative bishop. he has been just as involved in creating the current mess as anyone. will he be reprimanded or will he be in charge of the process again should kw leave? how will the candidate pool be vetted and selected since there is no deacon council (the council was dissolved by the administrative bishop if you remember)? will the wv liaison for the cog simply place someone? is kw being reprimanded and brought up on charges, or will he be allowed to go to another church and create the same chaos? what about those he brought from ohio with him and placed in positions within the church, will they be leaving too? is the cog going to take a stand, one way or the other, on the issue of the doctrine? there are problems at fwc that will not be solved with the simple removal of one man. sigh...unfortunately...i have a hard time trusting this organization now. FYI: I use to go to FWC when Mark was pastor. No one really knew me there but I loved the church and the worship. When I first attended the church I would fill out my tithes envelope which included my name and address. After going for a while I felt as though it was enough for God to know what I was giving and not man(the church). So I would put my usual tithes in and not fill out the envelope. Within a month I received a letter in my mailbox claiming they had missed me. My thought was, but I have been to every service. Then my thought went to how I have not been putting my name on my tithe envelope. Gee, no one missed ME, they missed my MONEY. So they thought. It upset me so much and I cried about it a little. Then ya know what? I just got over it. I do not go to church for anyone but myself anyways. I go for the word. I give my tithes like I should and if the church uses it in non biblical ways then that is for them to deal with in their final judgement. I do for God, not for people.

I go somewhere else now....but only because I felt drawn to another church. Not over that issue. Even at my church, as my work, there are always issues. Just live for God, not man.

hopeful: I was hopeful that this topic would be off the page and forgotten. But, you brought it back up to the top of the page. Is there really any more to discuss. If so lets hear it.

Well eventually change will be inevitable. KW won't allow those who disagree and complain to remain, and I don't blame him! It's just like previous posters said..if you don't like how things are going, move on. Don't stay hoping it will change because that just makes everybody miserable. It will be sad when it is discovered who really supports him, but the church will go on. New folks are there every service. I've had some of the remaining guys say they don't like kw but don't know what to do....leave and go where you are happy! Don't be a miserable Christian or a martyr. It's unnecessary!

Tic Toc wrote: Big Change is coming. That's nice, but I will believe it when I see it. People have said this for months, and i've seen nothing. I'm moving on, because nothing has changed. The leadership continues to do nothing, so i'm fed up with the COG.

I had heard that a certain individual is paying some investigators a load of cash to research all IP addresses involved in this discussion. Those people will then be confronted regarding their "facts"

IP:71.176.36.139 Wouldn't is be cheaper and easier simply to ask everyone to sign a loyalty oath. Those who resisted or refused could be escorted off the property by the heat packing Security forces. It worked for Chairman Mow.

If PKW was successful at having the COG make the mortgage payments Then the people don't need to make the payments or contribute to paying down the debt. Great job PKW, you deserve a big fat bonus from your finance committee.
