Why is it such as sin to ask for the transcript information to be posted on the University of Charleston web site. This is a gross oversight.

Mismanagement to say the least. This is the least you can do.

Where do we order them, how much will it cost along with other guidelines.

Does anyone else find this strange that they have neglected to post this on the MSU or UC web site?

Whose fault is this the registrars, the presidents, or another person? We just want this taken care of expeditiously.

My Phone Call

I called MSU's registrar's office on Friday and found out that MSU has a staff of 2 or 3 people left in that office thru January 31st to get everyone graduated. They are handling MSU transcript requests now but, UC has not made a decision about what will happen Feb 1st. UC uses clearinghouse to handle their transcripts but she did not know if that was how MSU would be handled in the future or not.

There are a few executives (CFO, Provost, COS, etc) from MSU left for a few more months and they are the ones that are working on the new MSU website page that will answer everyone's questions. A date has not been set for when it will be released.

The registrar said 26 people of her staff were already gone from the registrar/student services offices at MSU so their phones and emails aren't being answered. Also, very few put a message on their phones and emails saying they were no longer at MSU. She was extremely helpful and said for me to call or email her at anytime thru Jan 31st.

She said that they are closed until January 2nd but, she would be her checking emails once a day while they were closed for holiday break. I emailed her on Christmas Eve night and she emailed me back on Christmas Day in the afternoon which is was just awesome.

I hope this helps you.

Fine. Put it on the web site that UC has not made a decision. This is ridiculousness. What does the old provost, CFO or others have to do with it at this point?

UC it is time to get this officially cleared up. Many people have spent thousands of dollars on classes. This is the least you can do.

Look, I have been critical when it is deserved...just look at past posts. However, you are asking for things to be done with no time allowed for them to do so. Try to calm yourself and wait until Jan 2nd. Then try again. All educational records will be held in a repository of some sort and that information will be disseminated soon. Being angry and ruining your own Christmas will not make it happen any faster.

I would have thought this little detail would have been part of the teach out. Just a thought....

It is so unusual that Universities/Colleges are closed for mismanagement or whatever that I don't know they really have a template for how to proceed. I do believe that all student records will be preserved and the information on how to access them will be made available in the next few months. I wish you and yours well.

Months is way too long. This will get straightened out. We all need to repeatedly call the authorities and raise hell.

The mismanagement of this school has gone on for too long. No more excuses.

We will see what the local and national dept of education, the HLC, and many others have to say.

Please call everyone you know until there is a formal process published on both web sites.

Pathetic.

Are the MSU registrars still employed or were they fired to?

If you'd read the 3rd post above you'd see that there are a few people left in that office including the registrar who are there thru January.

A few months is a little too long in my opinion. Especially for people who are seeking jobs in that time period. Hopefully they won't have the need to obtain a transcript.

We all need to have our attorneys name individuals responsible for transcripts in a law suit. This might get their attention. I am very tired of excuses with MSU.

I believe the registrars and their supervisors had an ethical professional responsibility to inform the public and take care of this.

I don't think you get it....naming names of who handles transcripts is ludicrous. The people in the registrars office don't make decisions for UC and aren't allowed to make public announcements. All decisions about MSU transcripts from February 1st forward come from UC. The few MSU executive vice presidents left and president do all the informing of the public no matter how big or small it is.

You've got to understand that whether we like it or not...UC hasn't made decisions yet and the executives at MSU have not released public information.

I guess the judge will need to decide. The level of incompetence here is staggering.

A bunch of sue happy whiners. Why don't you take your lazy ass to campus and ask instead of sitting on this forum whining?

Look dumb as* yourself, people are very upset. You attacking them when they are already upset is not at all helpful. If what you want is to incite this further, then keep being the insensitive crank head and not-head you appear to be.

Every answer to every question would have been simple if you geniuses had asked about this any time over the last two months, when people were still working there, and processing transcripts, instead of talking out of your ass and whining on Topix. It's weird. I stopped at MSU, asked the question, was given answers, and walked out with multiple copies of my transcript, all within ten minutes.

But go ahead and get a lawyer and blow money on some stupid lawsuit that will go nowhere and get you laughed out of court like the mental midgets that you are, instead of waiting until you can call someone at UC and find out what you need to know and get your transcript for all of ten bucks. That'll show MSU. All you do is WIN!

Fucktards.

Toddlers have better critical thinking skills, and a better grasp of reality.
