This coach does not have a heart of gold. I have watched her put girl against girl and parent against parent. She makes no decisions for herself Im not sure she know how to make a decision! All I know is I agree with the parent of Tell it how it is... When I was at WWHS we did have bomb fires and pep rally and school dances after every football game and several dances after bb games. There is NO SCHOOL SPIRIT AT WWHS now NONE! It is controled by a clueless principal and an in control vice principal. That is where they need to clean house! Start there and then loose the cheer coach next. WWHS need a cheer coach with hands on experience that can actually show the girls what wrong instead of whispering to the other coach about crap. Show these girls the correct hand position or show them how to stunt or can she flip? I hardly think so. But she is good and standing off to the side, folding her arms and talking trash. If you do not believe me go watch a practice someday. "heart of gold" not plastic maybe.

I think it is hard to be a coach when you are given some of these attitudes that maybe parents and adults aren't aware of however and everyone is pissed off with the principals and there little detailed rules it gets blown way out of proportion and granted everyone has flaws i think everyone is just loving to hate her believe it or not this coach has a heart of gold and does care about the girls

Sorry Mr. English Professor Jerk... I was more concerned with the "heart of gold" comment and the lies than to worry about the bonfire duh! You should be too.

This coach is a joke. They ran her off from Liberty and she is does not coach these girls at all. They coach themselves which is where the drama comes from. WWHS has such great talent from cheer, dance, jumps and tumble, but she cant help any of them in any of those areas. Please WWHS get someone in there that knows the sport. Not just how to push play for the music.

Then quit the team because life isn't fair. No one wants to blame their kids for what happens. If she was that horrible of a person then no one would go out for cheerleading. Just because your daughter doesn't get treated the way you would treat her doesn't mean that she is being treated bad. There is always two sides to the story. This is why no one want to volunteer to do these things because they have to deal with A hole parent all of the time. BOO freaking Hoo

Thats Right, I would cry also if I had a child that cheered her. So would she, she would not treat my kid with the disrespect she treats most of those girls. Guess you must be a favorite, you have the same attitued the coach has. I see you have learned a lot.

Apparently you need to stop wasting your time on this website and invest your time more wisely, as in maybe going back to middle school. That's how mature you are acting by talking about a high school coach who puts so much time and effort into what she does. Bomb Fire... what a retard haha.

Since you're such a ball breaker why don't you approach this Coach and put her in her place? It's Cheerleading for God's sake, that's not even a sport. Most cheerleaders are snotty bitches anyway who are trying to fulfill their mother's dream of being popular.

And yes, I am a favorite.:)

I did quit the team.
Girls still go out for the sport because they love it so much and don't want to give it up. Most cheerleaders in high school have been cheering since midget league and it's not something you can just "quit". Not when you have spent the last 15 years of your life in cheerleading and gymnastics and have spent countless amount of money on it, plus all the doctor bills from injures.
As much as I loved the sport, I had to quit. There was no way I could cheer for this woman after what she did to me.
Slowly but surely girls are realizing what type of person she is and they aren't returning. There were so many girls that did not try out this year because of last year and I've heard of girls who aren't trying out next year because of what all has went on this year.
It's so sad that girls can't enjoy the sport that they have loved for so long and have put so much hard work and effort into, all because of this WOMAN who calls herself a "coach". They need to get someone in there that knows what the hell they are doing so woodrow cheerleading can be restored to what it used to be; Regional champions every year for 8 years in a row (besides the last 4 years), never missing the state competetition!
Now, woodrow cheerleading has gone to hell, all because of her.

Learn your facts, idiot!! Cheerleading is most definitely a SPORT!!! That is why they have competitions!! That is why there are rules & regulations. Check with MSAC or WVSSAC...look on the internet under cheeleading as a SPORT!!! There sure is a lot of time, money, and injuries being invested in an activity that you claim is not a sport!! FOOTBALL PLAYERS LIFT WEIGHTS, CHEERLEADERS LIFT PEOPLE!!!

I am not getting into the coach thing one way or another but I do have to disagree with "you suck" about cheerleading not being a sport. The cheerleaders I know are more athletic than any other athlete at the school. They spend more time in the gym with gymnastics than anyone else does lifting or training.

Thank you! I doubt half the football team (no I'm not bashing football players) have half the stamina that cheerleaders have. Mainly because cheerleading is an 8 month SPORT, not just 3 months!!

I normally agree with you, but not on this point. Football is not a 3 month sport. My son is in the field house at least 3 days a week (except for November) lifting and doing combine training. They begin lifting full time in December and continue thru spring. The only month that they take off is July. They do spring training on and off the field in May and June.

I have always stood firm on cheeerleading being a sport, but just because you don't like the coach or because they had a losing season, your comment that football is only a 3 month sport is way off base.

I have read all of the posts on this issue, and I must say it's a shame when the love that goes into this sport becomes weakened especially by the Coach. I myself cheered for 16 years of my life and quit my senior year due to similar experiences at a different school. Even though I am out of school and going to college, Cheerleading will always be my love. I always wanted to coach a team myself and have a group that kicked butt but still had love for themselves and each other, as many strong girls that are on this squad they should be doing awesome damage everywhere! I'm sorry for what you all are going through and if I could ever do anything to help let me know, but if this position ever does become available please let me know, I would be honored to be a part of making awesome memories for these girls!

Its true they are great athletes and most boys or girls will never practice as long or as hard or much but cheerleading is not a sport it is and that do compete in compettions!!! A sport is when you win or lose based on the points you score not by someones opinions......Just like ice skateing and gymnastics are not sports....great athletes and ability they are judged and scored based on thier opinions of skills they execute....Football basketball baseball etc......have no judges do they???? If so a football team would win based on the scores of judges on thier ability to block tacle and throw passes??? Huh???? Makes sense does it not???
