Randy at GP can seem a bit arrogant at times. Keep in mind he built that shop from almost nothing. Entrepreneurs tend to be quick to make decisions and then stick to them. That can come across as arrogance. He's pretty nice if you ever get to really talk to him.

The prices there are much better than Showtime. I have bought several instruments there in the past couple of years.

Bill Knight is a very educated Sound Engineer and owned his own business for years. There's alot to take into consideration with both companies. Showtime takes pride in superior customer service along with excellent service "After the sale." Yes, Guitar's Plus does have more inventory selections than Showtime, but please be aware, Randy carries brands he is NOT authorized in, like Fender, where as Showtime is the largest authorized independent Fender dealer in the state of WV. Also, I've spoken with former Guitar's Plus employees, and they tell me the place is crooked, and some of the stuff you see, is actually a hoax if you take it apart. If you want quality service and great people to work with, Showtime will be a great experience, and please dont be confused, Showtime matches internet prices as well.:-)

Alot of people become confused with Showtime's prices because everything is marked at Retail price. They see this and think thats the final asking price and walk away. Please understand that Showtime is very competative and feel free to call us out if you found it somewhere cheaper, most of the employees will make it happen to where you wont walk away without the product. Please give Showtime another try :-) thank you.

y not just give a good price why have to haggle. Be straight up and not rip off someone who won't ask for a deal. Price matching or waiting to hear a lower price sucks. I wish not to talk to anyone pay a price and go. F your wheeling and dealing methods I won't go shop here. Give me one low price I buy, but to price match and have to deal with a sales man f it I'll stay on the Internet

I really hate the doucher that runs GP. Possibly just because of envy for his collection of classic cars, buy partially because he just happened to have an accident of sorts and get a huge settlement. That's how GP started, not entrepreneurial spirit. Who has EVER seen more than two cars in the parking lot?

I think both stores are ok.I get better prices at Gplus and they seem to have a better selection.Went To Showtime they tried to sell me a Martin and told me it was new I checked the Martin website and Guitars Plus is the authorized dealer so I bought a new one from them.Just reading the posts sounds like a lot of Jealousy to me.Fuck it a store is a store who gives a fuck who owns what and does what if you get a great deal from any of them.

Because it was a lie,why would you lie about it?I also took him a guitar he was going to order a new neck for he said he could fix it I'n 2 weeks , after 3 months of putting me off I went back to get my guitar but all I recieved were parts and a blank plate on the back instead of the original Jackson plate, Jackson would not send me a neck without the original numbers ...I've dealt with go since the beginning so I know what the place is about,I still buy there but I know what to buy and what not to buy but if you don't know don't buy anything used there and don't settle on a verbal

Sounds like your the kind of customer no company wants to deal with. If I worked there and saw you walk in, I'd jack the price up to keep you from buying. Your probably one of the many dumb ass dip shit idiots that look for reasons to complain and bitch. Good luck with getting service after you've purchased on the net.

I know both owners very well. If you are buying or plan on buying do your research. I always end up buying from Showtime if they have or can get what I'm looking for. If not I check at GP. Showtime has always been fair on price and the service is always professional.
Keep your business local!! Keeping business local is the only way to keep these companies doors open. When you buy from the net and have a problem it turns into months before it's fixed. You also pay shipping every time there is an issue!! Again, do your research and KEEP your business local!!

Here is a thought:

Neither sells Gibson as an authorized dealer.

Ya ever think "why" ?

IMHO, you are not a guitar shop if you don't have the Gibson account.

So if your a Ford dealer don't ever buy a Chevrolet from them,or if your a Yamaha dealer don't buy a Honda from them. That is nothing but plain stupidity. What the hell is
The difference as long as you get the product you want at the price you want. This sounds like some backwards ass thinking. Most music stores sell to musicians who could give a shit about anything but getting a great instrument at a great price.Guitars Plus has been in business for 20 years you don't get there by ripping people off or you would be gone. I'm sure you can find people that have had bad experiences at both stores but that is a very small amount I'm sure or they would not be there. You can't please everyone all the time there's always going to be a person who had a bad experience but they are very insignificant One out of ten thousand.I sell tools for a living and I am always having to compare Snap on to Mac to Craftsman and guess what there all good some people just like particular brands why bash me because I sell one and not the other it makes no sence.Grow up and stop bitchin friction move on.
