I guess your gonna be one of the ones that can never be satisfied. I cannot respond to any of your outlandish adjectives because there all based on feelings, your feeling and not supported by facts. I understand your frustrated with whole thing but I don't think you completely understand the whole reason for the closing. Where you in the meetings with the parents. Because if you had been you would understand the whole story. However you have a box to stand on here and a voice to speak but condemning those who have helped you one time or another whether you knew it or not, is not God like. So I think it is you who must follow your own advise and read your bible because your actions here have consequences somewhere else. I will not argue your opinions because no one will win those are yours. Please bring hard facts to the next conversation and I will be glad to debate with you. I have more thing to say,
I REBUKE YOU Devil, and I will place you under my feet where you shall stay.
My opinions mean nothing the facts of the reality spoke and do speak for themselves . One can make excuses till the cows come home, but the fact remains it was and is the Kids that suffered and do suffer. And I follow the Word which tells me to tell YOu the truth, that maybe ,just maybe you will get your eyes off man made religion and its dogma and back on the True Word of God where it is suppose to be.And actual facts were given, just cause YOU refuse to accept it does not make it any less factual.
And you can rebuke your own feet all you wish, It is you I suggest who should take a cold hard look at where you are and what you are before spouting foolishness and speaking to whom you know nothing of.

It is people like me who pick up the broken pieces of lives people like you in your man made establishments break. Great sounding words and promises , only to rip them away through man made ignorance and man made doctrines of lies instead of Biblical truth.

YOu keep your cemetery Pastors and I will Keep the Real God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who Jesus Christ is and I will continue helping to put the pieces of tattered and shattered lives back together by the Real Word of God and the Truth that sets them Free from the bondage your man made Hirelings have chained them with.

Seems the devil you rebuke is yourself !

Look the school closing was not decided over night, the school was not self sustaining and was pulling funds from other missions. The church and the pastor fought to keep it open for as long as they could, and as I here they tried everything to make the transition to the other school as smooth as possible, no money out to the kids parents books paid for, tuition the same amount. I mean they could have shut doors and said your on your own, but they didn't and had several meeting to help the parents understand why it was closing. The church went out of there way to help everyone in the process and we all know not everybody is going to be happy, but they never think about how it could have been worse. I have no idea if the pastor is leaving but they do that, a calling from God is just that. Once he calls upon you to move than you listen and go where he puts you and God may have someone else to finish what the pastor has started. I have known a lot of preacher in my day and I will say this pastor doesn't do anything without consultation from God and he never takes his decisions lightly. So if he is moving on then we should all wish him the best
with open hearts because that position could not be done by any of us here and talking bad about him will never get you to the place you want to go. Love you and your family pastor and you are the man of God in our hearts, because he has told me so. Good luck in what ever your God has for you next.
No wonder you're defending the closing of the school.

To me men of god need not to prove "themselves in action". So, i would never come to your church to see a man "prove himself in action." This is not a place to have a show its a place of fellowship and worship. Ive been to that church and was scared away because i seen no order whatsoever. Also, without a shadow of doubt, the school should have been a number one priority for the church. Hands down.

The truth is the school was failing during the entire time it existed!!! The kids that went there are now going to a better school, getting a great education, and if you talk to them they love it. The school was failing well before the current pastor arrived. The most inportant thing was that the children were not getting the education they deserved! As far as being the number one priority, I believe that bringing souls to Christ is far more important than keeping a school that was failing its students open any longer.

If the school was failing it would be because of those who ran it, you know those whose more importance was souls of everyone but the kids in their own church !!!

You should read your post before saying it is "the Truth"...cause if it was true, goes to show the failure of the whole not just the school don't you think , people from the church ran the school?!!!

I wanted to comment on those who feel that Trinity did not provide a good education. I have had two children at Trinity over the years and believe that both of them received an excellent education. My daughter's and son's national standardized test scores were always in the top 90 to 99% compared to other students in the country. I also know that there were a number of special needs students in the school over the years who needed the special attention and education that TCA provided. Their standardized test scores would have brought down the overall school average, but the teachers there saw these children as an opportunity for ministry.

Anyone who says that these children were not getting a good education is misinformed. This was an excuse put out by the leadership of the church who wanted to see the school close.

By the way, since when does the financial profitability of a ministry determine its value? I have been involved in many ministries and churches over the years and have never known of a large ministry within a church that did not rely upon a substantial amount of support from the church itself. This is true of youth ministries, music ministries, pulpit ministries, outreach ministries etc. It is not different from the vast majority of Christian schools in this country. The bottom line is that the current leadership team of FWC did not value the ministry of TCA enough to support it. Any shortcomings on the educational end during the last couple of years had nothing to do with personnel in the school and had everything to do with lack of church support.

"So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her."
John 8:7
Their is a reason I posted this verse and I'll get to that. Before this verse a group of men came to Jesus and said that they had caught a woman in adultry and that, according to Moses law, she was to be stoned. Jesus knelt down on the ground and started writing on ground with finger as though He didn' t hear them. Then He stood up and said "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast the stone at her." It must have been a powerful statement because the men walked away.
I have read topix a few times and most post usually get responses of cuss words, threats, and people saying awful and hurtful things about each other. What really disturbs me is when I see a post about a church or pastor. The very same people who refer to themselves as Christians or followers of Christ are the ones who are criticizing and gossiping about each other. Now, many of you will say "I'm just using this as a way to expose the evil". Your not. You are gossiping and many of you are making statements that are not fact. I almost left church for this very reason. "Christians" attack and judge other Christians but they say Amen to or share devotions that say Christians should not judge each other. Doesn't add up to me.
I'm not fully aware of what Pastor Ken Wright has or hasn't done but I can say that the man is human. In fairness, he does hold a position that requires more discipline and faithfulness than the Sunday morning church attender. If he has done wrong I am not justifying his wrong doing. However, he cries just like we cry when we lose a loved one, he gets frustrated like we do when we have a bad day, and he gets sick like we do. Pastors are human and they like all of us fall short of the glory of God. I could come up with a negative point about any pastor in the city of Beckley. They all have sinned and have made poor choices. We, yes I'm including myself, go ti church and we praise God and we greet each other, then we walk out and we talk negative aboit those we told " you are a great person and you look so nice this morning". Is that person or pastor wrong or are we hypocrites? I think the right answer is we are hypocrites.
If it wasn't for the love of God none of us would be saved or have any hope. We are all flawed and do wrong. I think instead of gossiping and hating each other we should love one another. Pray to God to expose a pastor rather than gossip, pray for a person to receive grace and see the error of their ways rather than judge them, and correct people by teaching them and helping them rather than saying your not welcome here anymore. Thats what Christ would and if we follow Christ then shouldn't we be following His example and doing as He did?
Let's stop casting stones at each other and lets put an end to this topix site. It is not helpful to anyone to know what peggy sue did at club 3d ladt night or what the sunday school teacher does on weekends. There is an appropriate way to handle things and topix isn't that way.
Now, he or she that is without sin or fault make the next insult or post gossip.

I wanted to add to my previous post. Im not trying to seem like a know it all or perfect Christian. Im a man who has plenty of faults. However, I one day saw that I was wearing a mask. I loved to gossip, judge others, and all the while would hide my wrong. God saved me and helped me to love others. When I die I don't want the dash between birth date and death date to represent a man of judgement, pride, and evil. I dont want to be known as a man who ran everyone down on topix, twitter, and facebook. I want to be known as a man who loved, worked hard, and gave his best. In Gods eyes I want to be seen as a faithful, loving, serving, and obedient man.

We all make mistakes and sin. I'm not telling people your going to hell if you get on here. I juar want Christians to open their eyes and be true Christians.

I am not sure why people are calling other people idiots while trying to engage in a debate about whether FWC made the right decision in closing the school. How is this constructive?

That was the problem, people that were not church members were in charge of the school. The orginal charter was set up that way. Most of the kids that attended the school were not church attenders! As far as the quality of thier education, the test scores spoke for themselves. The school was a failure from the start. It was founded poorly, and it was time to move on. The children are all better off, and so is the church.

I truly don't look at this conversation as gossip. These are real things that are happening within our community and have a impact on our kids. My daughter attended this school for years and my family valued the education that she was receiving. However, we also attended the church and as a member of that church i have a responsibility to my family to judge that church and the things that ARE GOING ON IN IT. I just cant understand why this wasnt more of a priority to the church. This was a awesome way to serve our kids and also kids of the community. Also, was a deacon lobbying to close the fishes and loaves building to build a gym?? I just wonder what has happened to the priorities at FWC.
