but it also depends on the quality, right?
The better it is, it's gonna cost more right?
Does $300 an ounce sounds outrageous or is it a good deal?

I am a retired drug dealer I have not sold in a long time but when I did these were the street prices that I sold for. The lowest grade known as commercial I sold 1.5 grams for 10$(dime bag) 3.5 grams(1/8 ounce) for 20$ 1/4 ounce for 35$ 1/2ounce for 60$ 1 ounce for 100$ 1/4 pound for 350$ 1/2 pound for 650$ and 1 pound for 1200$. 30/60 refers to 30 for a quarter ounce(3.5grams) 60 for a half ounce(7 grams). 30/60 would be a mid-grade product a.k.a. middies. Characteristics include more red hairs higher THC content and low seed content. Although middies are still commercially field grown and compressed brick weed generally coming from Mexico. 40/80 and 50/100 refer to a higher grade known as beasters. Characteristics include much high THC content and very little or no seeds as all the males where killed during production. More often the plants where cloned from a mother plant so they all have identical genetics this is also where brand names start to develop. These are grown in smaller home grown operations in the US and Canada under more controlled conditions. The highest grades are known as nugget these go for around 20 dollars a gram resulting in an ounce price of 560 dollars. These are grown by true professionals under extremely controlled conditions including hydroponic systems CO2 injection systems and high out put lighting. Nuggets require a great deal of care and skill this brings the high price tag. I do not in anyway condone any illegal activities. I have learned from the mistakes of my past and am just sharing my knowledge for information purposes only.

I just realized I made a mistake the the 30/60 refers to 1/8 of an ounce and 1/4 of an ounce not 1/4 of an ounce and 1/2 of an ounce.

Yes I realized my weight error if you read the post rite after that I corrected myself. As for the "beasters" I am just referring to common nomenclature amongst the recreational drug community. I admit I did not know the origin of this term. But, as I recall it was used quite often for marijuana in that grade range. Whether or not it all originated from the strain that you speak of i do not know. Drug distributors tend to mislabel a lot of there products.
