The discussion was to make people aware that there is a law that is not being followed regarding blacked out areas and traffic signals. It was not about the man, how fast he was driving or not. That point is mute in this thread. 95% of all motorcycle crashes are flown out to a LEVEL I Trauma Center who is equipped with specially trained personnel to handle catastrophic injuries like those sustained in a motorcycle crash because many of these accidents cause multisystem injuries. Before, during and after the accident people did not follow the law, tonight they did not follow the law and tomorrow may not (probably will not) follow the law. If the oncoming traffic had stopped and followed the law he would not have been hit. Just trying to help others...like someone you love or I love, or even a total stranger.

Umm... yeah and I was just saying that the dumb@$$ shouldn't have been doing 90mph, especially on a motorcycle.

since the first storm friday I have been in raleigh fayette kanawha and wyoming counties and out of all 4 I only saw one...ONE AEP truck. Global warming is happening people to fast. And this is God telling us, showing us mankind is getting to out of hand & he will always have more power than we will. People better start changing their ways. We are getting to cocky, greedy, selfish, unappreciative, disrepectful, and we take everything for granted!! The world just keeps getting worse

I haven't seen any movement in Fayette co. The entire county is still dark. PMC is still on generator. I know these things take time, but we're in day 3 now. At least drive a power truck up and down the road to reassure people.

Oh my, didn't know I was considered rich. Working 50 hours a week (ore more) for a paycheck. I think there are more "rich" democrats than republicans; do your homework and find out how much the democrats running the state make. I work for my money and pay MY taxes; I just think everyone else should do the same. Now we will have to pay more taxes on our company sponsored health insurance because of Obamacare.

Being without power is inconvenient, the heat is unbearable... Have a small taste of how our soldiers feel daily in the deserts of Iraq. Be thankful your healthy and with your family. Thank God for all you have.

I posted the other day about inconvenience. I failed to address the babies, elderly and the sick. The lack of electricity and the heat is very dangerous for them. Those of us who don't fit into those categories are merely inconvenienced. Its not fun or comfortable but we are blessed beyond measure. We have our health and homes. Instead of bashing the power companies we should be trying to help one another. If yiu haven't left your neighborhood, you haven't seen the areas that have a tree resting on the power lines between each pole for miles. Lord only knows what kind of damage has been done to the power lines that go down the mountains that we don't see. Lets count our blessings and try to be kind to each other.

I'm thankful for all of our "dependable power and technolgy" in this modern age.:) Some had no electriciy, no phone, no cell phone, no television, groceries, ice, etc. Everyone had to get out and drive to find the staples of life which meant in some cases they couldn't find GAS.. It was a sort of madhouse out there for awhile, but why worry? Modern technology came through once again and saved our bacon. Makes me wonder what that would be like if it lasted for weeks or even months? It would be "Road Warrior" on steroids:)
