I hadn't gotten around yet to mentioning that the Rev. Jeremiah Wright also seems pretty knowledgeable about marxism/communism.

In the history of mankind, there is NO country that has ever prospered under any leader promoting marxism. The histories of those countries under marxist leaders have been ones of real oppression economically with almost a total loss of individual freedoms. If all of these people admire marxism so much, they should just move to Russia or China so that they can enjoy it and leave the rest of us here alone with Jefferson, Lincoln, and Jackson. |

Sorry, it seems I confused you with Independent Woman since you responded to a post to her...you seem interchangeable...are you sure you're not the same person? I did look at the video and sure enough Ms. Dunn did proclaim her admiration for Mao but what she admired about him seemed to be his grit & determination so it wasn't offensive....but I would think she could have found a better person to admire. It seems Ms. Dunn is leaving the WH at the end of this month ...maybe this is why. |

There you go again. Every time I discuss events with ANY rightwing person eventually they get around to saying why don't you leave the country...ALWAYS! Because this country is my country and my views are just as legitimate as yours are. Personally I don't believe that Jefferson, Lincoln and Jackson would have anythng to do with the rightwingers in the country today. I think it's hilarious that rightwingers try to claim any of them as one of their own. You evidently have not read any history or biographies of them or you would realize how laughable your claim is. |

Dunn's comments about each person having to find his own way to accomplish his own goals (Mao's quote) truly weren't bad. What Dunn needed to emphasize to high school students was that although she agreed with that concept in general that she was not advocating that they follow Mao. Clearly, when she called Mao a favorite philosopher, she was admiring him. I don't admire anyone who admires Mao. |

I do indeed think that the marxist leaders should leave this country rather than ruin it with the wrong kind of CHANGE. I prefer the republic kind of govt. myself. As Ezra Taft Benson said, the American people are SO gullible concerning the marxist plan: http://www.youtube.com/watch... |

I don't admire her either...I never heard of her until you or that other poster brought her up. As I said, maybe her admiration for the wrong people is the reason she is leaving the WH. |

Well, that's too damn bad because I'm not going anywhere and the country needs to change a lot of things....like health care, pirates on Wall Street masquerading as capitalists, congressmen who represent big business rather than the "people", etc., etc. Maybe there are more of me than there are of you...maybe you need to go to another country. I hear Texas is getting ready to secede..maybe you should go down there. |

Her "War on Fox News" is most likely the cause of her leaving at the end of the month.:)...Strange...Haven't heard to much about this "War" in the last few days.. |

This is one of those situations where SOME liberals need to use COMMON SENSE....which is a rare commodity with some of them....If you work for the President and the American people, you should have enough common "gumption" about you to NEVER say you admire a communist, or Nazi, Al Queida member or anyone else of their ilk. |

I said the LEADERS ought to go to China or Russia (yes, I mean all the Obama associates who are public figures who profess marxist leanings). This country has been a constitutional republic since 1787 long before Obama & friends arrived on the scene to try to mess it up. Some of my ancestors even fought in the Revolutionary War so I think I'll stick around to make sure this country stays a constitutional republic. I used to be on other forums during Bush's term. Yes, I mentioned all the bad things going on then during his term, too, but that was the past and now is the present. I never kept my mouth shut during Bush's term and I don't plan to do so during Obama's term. I agree completely that changes are needed in all the areas that you just mentioned. The questions to be answered are what can be done to bring about the changes that are needed. Personally, I'd love to get rid of everybody in Congress and start over. I am not seeing good changes from Obama & Associates - the kind that most people thought they would be getting. |

Since we're being civil now I will admit that I have not always been satisfied with Obama's term so far....but I'm still giving him some leeway because after all I am a liberal and his policies so far don't bother me...it's his leadership style. I was a Hillary supporter and I like her kick-butt decisive style. I would like to see him say what he wants in a health care bill and not take so darned long to decide what to do in Afghanistan. My ancestors also fought in the revolutionary war...I'm a direct descendent of both John Cooke and Capt. Ralph Stewart, first & second settlers in Wyoming County by way of William Cooke and Catherine Stewart....so I'm not going anywhere either. Now we've got that out of the way. I'm a history buff and I don't think my opinions on national issues are that far out of sync with our forefathers. Well, maybe some, but this is a different day from 1776 and if Jefferson, Adams and Franklin (I know Franklin would be a soul-mate to me), etc., were here today I believe they would be more liberal than not. Probably Washington would be more conservative. |
|||
|
Not sure Franklin would be a liberal, but then again he did like the ladies like mr clinton. Lesson the founding fathers did not trust big government and tried to limit it as much as possible. Since you like franklin, i am sure you are familiar with his statement "we have founded you a nice little republic, if you can hold on to it". doesnt sound real liberal to me.

Republic = a political system or form of government in which people elect representatives to exercise power for them. That's neither liberal nor conservative. How has that changed just because Obama is president and the Democrats have control of congress? I know that's not what you're talking about but rather the spending but I believe we have no choice in the matter right now. |
|||
|
My point was that Franklin saw that the people would not be able to keep control of the republic and we have lost control. We have a government of special interests. Liberal or conservative, the people lose. I was no more in favor of a big government conservative than i am a big government liberal. of course i agreed more with bush on national security and social issues.

There is a clip of her saying that. I have seen it. What is really frightening is watching her tonguing her false teeth in between words! Gross. |
||||
|
Lesson, i saw the clip. anita dunn said her two favorite philosophers were mother theresa and chairman mao. She then said she would quote the person she turned to most, chairman mao. you know i dont post stuff that i see only on right wing blogs. did you try you tube.

1 Lesson, you've lost this battle. Everyone who watched Glenn Beck's show on Fox saw Dunn on videotape (at a high school graduation of all places) say that Mao was one of her favorite philosophers. Lesson, you try your best to come accross as an informed and highly educated individual. Informed individuals listen to both sides of a story. I strongly suggest that you DVR Glenn Beck's show for one week and listen to what this man has to say. You may(most probably) disagree with his political view, but try to find anything newsworthy he says that is not true. Before you start bashing Beck, give us some examples of his blatent lies. |
