[JUST CURIOUS]

Does anyone know what is going on at this clinic?
Did the doctor leave on his own? Just wondering if anyone knows anything about it.

He left because he didn't get paid. Its been a habitual thing and I guess he got tired of the owner skimming his pay.

The office manager there is crazy, she probably embesseled the money and that's why they didn't pay the doc.

Your confusing the know pain clinic with the methadone clinic. The people who go to the know pain clinic are mostly compensation patients. They have gotten hurt on the job, or maybe have bad backs. They don't just give drugs for pain. They also give nerve block shots in the spine to block peoples pain. These shots hurt very much, and I doubt people go there and take them to get a high.

If you saw todays newspaper the DR. walked off his job .They do not give out drugs . The person signed in as ( know) is correct ,and if you would have one of those shots you will know there was much pain in them. So if you want drugs go to the methadone clinic and get your fix .

Well if the know pain clinic gives these medications, its because the people need it, they've been injured and REALLY have pain. They don't give drugs for people to get high on. Know pain also gives drug tests periodically to see if your abusing your medication. If you have too much in your system. They'll cut you off, and quit seeing you.

yeah maybe some ppl are tryin to obtain drugs for their habits, but others really are suffering... it takes quite a while to even get into the know pain clinic, unlike the methadone clinic, which takes in new patients nearly every day for drug abuse.

The patients are tested every six months, plus they do random testing every month. The injections they give help people continue to be mobile.People suffering from back injuries to strokes to cancer are seen at the clinic. It is not a junkie place. The shots are extremely painful and very expensive. You have to be referred to the clinic by a doctor and the waiting list is a long one. I do not understand the breakdown at the clinic but alot of people are worried about getting their shots and medicine. It is not all pain meds either. Just because they treat people with pain does not mean the patients are junkies. It means that to continue some sort of normal life, doctor intervention is a must.

The testing is a federal law. It is in every state. Not only do they test to make sure you are not abusing; they test to be sure you have the proper amount and are not selling it. I know someone who almost lost their script because the office tech screwed up on the test and it showed to little in the system.

druggies shame on you most of these people are in cronic pain volinteer once in the dialysis center then you may judge

walk a day in these cliants steps before you judge. shut the methadone clinic down those are the ones who need to be judged not the people who need some of the pain to stop just for a few hours. and yes they are tested every month but the real question is how long will the paitent remain in pain. always.hope you never have to become a paitent or caregiver.you are judging people you know nothing about

under staffed and underpaid. when the insurance companies dictate to the doc on what a paitent need and the quality of care on need why would they pay on time either.but leaving without even notifing the paitents plain down unethacal.

Where do you think the supply comes from when people can buy things like Oxycontin and Fentanyl patches off the street? Those nice old ladies with chronic back pain who need to pay the light bill this month have found that they can sell a couple of pills and pad their bank account. The pain clinic should have random pill counts and drug screens on ALL patients even those sweet old ones who nobody would ever suspect.

Ok, I have been watching and postin on this topic. Some of those old ladies as you refer to them are in wheelchairs or on ambulance gurneys. They do not take care of their own meds. It is pathetic that to endure what some have to and then be ridiculed by others. Have you ever had one of those SI injections? Or some of the others? There are times that the pain of the medicine is so bad you cry. And others you are not sure if it is the pain of the needle or the relief to the affected area. I know WV has a bad rep for drugs. But I am a patient of the pain clinic, I have never sold my meds or would even think about it. I went years without meds because I thought I could endure the pain. Well you know what, having to crawl thru your own house because your back is out is not fun. Or not being able to control the nerves in your legs so that you can sit thru church. Every thing that medicine does for people to improve the quality of life has flaws. And believe me there are people out there that will take advantage of those flaws because cannot get a grip of reality. So they stone themselves out to deal with daily life. Maybe this will be a wake up call for the Clinic managers, and maybe for some of the families of the patients that are abusing. But don't class everyone in the same category just because we would like to live to some degree in a pain free or at least a pain that we can tolerate state.
