Talk about shooting one's self in the foot:)

18000 PLUS jobs gone because NO one wants to compromise anymore?

I hope COKE and Pepsi go next..They are bad for you, bad for the environment, and I don't like "pop" anyway:)

I'm getting more and more liberal everyday, if it is bad for you in any way, or I don't like it, get rid of it...

Hey, I'm starting to like this.. Much easier than using any type of reason:)

When the company I worked for filed bankruptcy. I sat right there in court as the Judge threw out our Union contract, told us how much we were going to be paid, about a 40% cut in pay, how many vacation days ,sick days we were going to lose, lose most of our medical insur. When our lawyer objected, the Judge told him if we did not like it we could quit. He also told us he would send Marshals down to see that the mine was open, and had about 20 lined around the wall of the court room as a show of force. What has changed since then? I guess that Reagan appointed Judge has retired or died by now. That was about 20 years ago.

Some people who have been the recipients of the benefits of union membership sometimes turn their backs on other unions that they receive no benefit from. How strange is that.

Why would 18.500 morons want to go on strike in this crumpled economy? Oh I know! It's because they're morons.

Good point:)
They may not have been morons to GO on strike, but when they were faced with the ugly truth, they chose to not give an inch in their negotiations, thus cutting their own throats.:)

Actually I can't see where things have changed much as I have actually discovered here in Nicholas County when you push the system, you will find that Coal still calls the shots ... But I'm still shovin their azzes.

Maybe Bain Capital can buy Hostess, ship all those jobs to China and "save" the company. Then Wal Mart can sell the new and improved " lower priced" twinkies to all the bloated Americans who love them.

Win win!!

You are right of course... I mostly eat Apples and bananas, but do go crazy sometimes and eat a Hostess fruit pie or two..
Especially heated in the microwave, and ice cream on top.

I guess those days are over now:)

I am all for workers benifits, labor laws. That being said though, the pendulum has swung to far the other way. Things go better when there is a balance of power. You have the companies with too much and you need a union. Now the union has too much power and people are giving up their jobs for the welfare line. This is not working. We, in this country, are so use to good times, we can't see the writing on the wall. We think we will remain on the big teat and the milk will never go dry. I work for myself and if I fail to have available products, I will lose my job. Those working for Hostess could not see they were driving the company into bankruptcy by refuseing to work together. Sounds like the POTUS and congress!

I think this would be funny as hell. Have you seen Black Friday shoppers? Anyone standing in the way of these mad cow shoppers would be stomped to death right there in the parking lot. Come to think of it, this will solve their problem of having to work too.

Very funny, and these shoppers are out the next day after celebrating Thanksgiving. "We are so thankful, lets take the Elmo doll the old lady has, because they only manufactured 1200. They are the "must haves" of the season."
We are like children instead of adults....LMBO!
