honestly, we have 5 different ceel phones with straight talk at the $45 plan. 3 was the cheep phones and 2 bought the more expensive ones . NOT A SINGLE COMPLAINT 5 different adults, all unlimited minutes and texts, web, and pics... the more expensive the phone the more advantages but mine is the cheap flip phone and I can do all -- text talk pics surf web,,, YOU CANT BEAT IT. I had Cell one? att 6yrs... I love the straight talk. Had mine since dec. 2 uses theirs daily back n forth charleston to beckley n back...
you really cant beat it.

Thanks Realist. I looked up consumer cellular. I need a lot of minutes and their plans with a lot of minutes are more expensive than straight talk. But I appreciate the input.

I just got my straight Talk last week.It is cheap and you get alot of time on talk, text and internet .It just has one real drawback. With contract phones you can call from a different states you are traveling thru or a different counties but with straight talk ,let say ...You in a neighboring county for work in the state where you bought the phone .It has no tower signal or coverage until you get back close to the zip code you regestered your phone too .This is real inconvienent if you are in your car alot or work outside the county from which the phone was regesterd. It is cheap enough but I also had a problem with the phone it's self it wont acknowlege my memory card .It is the style of memory card that the phone recomends but and I know I have images and numbers and music on it,and it is the right memory size so I don't know why it doesn't read it .Their tech support need more training when you call them it is like talkin to a kid. I can get past the other country accent but when your questions don't get addressed properly and the tech doesn't know the technical stuff off the top of their head it is a bit disconcerning. But you get what you pay for go cheap and you give up a few things. All in all it is a good phone for the money .

I have straight talk also. I bought the more expensive phone. Nokia E-71 App-Capable Smart Phone. It will only work with the 45.00 plan. It has 3.2 MP camera and video recorder, music player, web, bluetooth. You get everything with this phone. It is almost like a Blackberry. I use my phone everywhere. I'm in Wyoming County and I can still use my phone in Beckley and Charleston. I dont have to be near my zip code. They make 2 different phones, one runs on ATT and the other runs on Verizon. Mine is ATT if you want that get the phone that has GSM on the box. I bought mine at Wal-Mart 199.00. Expensive but good phone. My daughter has the straight talk slider, slides sideways, its a good phone but cheaper still the same monthly plan but her web isnt as clear as mine and she can also use the 30.00 monthly plan. My other daughter has the cheapest phone, she doesnt like it at all. So I am going to buy 2 more of the smart phones so everyone in my family will be happy. Lol

If you dont mind me askin, is your phone with ATT or Verizon? It sounds like Verizon, I made that mistake once with my daughters phone. It was registered in Beckley so she couldnt use it in Wyoming County because the towers here are ATT. I took that phone back and changed it and now she can talk anywhere. If you want to talk anywhere you need ATT. Make sure the phone has GSM on the package in the lower left corner.

I've had my straight talk phone for almost 2 yrs now, I love it, never have drop call problems, get service virtually everywhere, customer service is awesome, if ever I have a problem I don't get put on hold for ever, nor do I get the "pass the buck" treatment.
Got it
