Anyone having trouble with Social Workers? I think there needs to be a investigator to investigate them. They do more harm than good in most cases and need to open their eyes to real abuse, real problems, instead of moving children for their personal status gains and screwing up lives of people. If they are so scared to go into a home of abuse, then how should a child be allowed to stay in a home they are scared of?

What I am saying is, if the child is living in a bad place, the social worker is scared of and wont go remove the child, then how should the child be still there?

You are a typical politician. Full of bullshit, cowardly and no answers.

Politician, I don't understand why the social worker wouldn't call on a police escort if they're afraid of entering a home where children are in jeopardy. If you have firsthand knowledge of it, please, call the police and tell them that a social worker is doing this!

Police officers usually go in with the social worker to remove the child, just because of the danger in doing so.

DHHR workers and CPS workers are a joke!!! They get into personal cases and discuss confidential info with eachother. I have to deal with them because I get child support and it is a mess!!! When I have to call and ask a question, they are all pissy because they have to actually work for a minute.

You people think you know it all about social workers and you don't know diddly! "AGREE", excuse me, but some social workers are case managers, therefore they can get into personal cases and discuss confidential info with one another. There are meeting they attend and discuss what is best for a client. And for you BULLSEYE, you can go suck and egg, you dork!

All professions have the good and the bad. There are many wonderful social workers, but their good deeds and hardwork are too often overshadowed by the careless and irresponsible ones. It is a thankless job! With that said,I for one believe there does need to be tighter reigns and more follow up on social workers/case managers. There are some with ALOT more issues than the people they are judging/critiquing/helping!!!! I know of one that has a history of domestic violence and instability and yet is still allowed to continue to work with abused children????? So maybe the system needs fixing so the rotten ones can be weeded out.

I don't claim to know all about social workers. But I do know that like in most lines of work, there are those that cause problems, don't do their job properly, and have no ethics. If they are such case managers, then why is it that CPS people are out in the field and being case managers at the same time? Seems to me that one should practice being a "social worker" when out dealing with people. Instead I realize like Auntie says, too busy being a case manager... again too much power, so maybe its a issue with too many managers and not enough workers who actually interact with people.Waiting on a slick reply.....

Case managers do interact with people. Many people a day. There are many settings a social worker can work. It depends on what they chose to do with their field of study. Some are case managers, some CPS workers, APS workers, medical social workers, and DHHR Social workers that see if clients are eligible for certain programs/benefits. Like I said earlier, they should go by NASW code of ethics. And I know of social workers that have had their licenses taken because they have done things against NASW. The reason why they are out in the field and case managers is because of the workload and not enough social workers.

your name "me crazy" suits you. I have read some of your other posts and you are just some bitter woman using this board to try to always slam your ex. You're pathetic and need to find something constructive to do woth your time. I'd you have kids, and heaven forbid you do, go spend time with them instead of being on here rattliing off about your ex.

This doesn't hit me at home at all. I don't work for DHHR but I do know people who do bit not close enough to call it hitting home. I'm sick and tired of people getting on here and making this a sounding board against their ex spouses. So whatever , your opinion means nothing to me. I just read other posts by you and that's always where you end up. And you're right , it is funny how you pathetic you are.

Again, I didnt mention an ex...you did 8-). Obviously my opinion meant something to you, or you wouldnt be fussing so. And always is such a strong word, kinda' means everytime and there are several of my posts that have never mentioned an ex spouse.

Anyway, what does your rantings have to do with this topic? Didn't you post something on another topic about how much you hate people getting off topic?
