My son is 16 months old and will be needing a haircut in a few weeks. Where is a good place in Beckley or the surrounding areas to take him? I also would love any specific names you have of a stylist that is good with kids, I would like to take him to the same person every time if I can while hes young. Thanks!

Remember to take a picture...it's something neat to look at years down the road.

I took my kids to the county shop at crossroad mall. Now if he's scared of loud noises such as the clippers he might be scared and uncooperative.

Damn cheap asses just because its his first haircut doesn't mean it should cost less than ten bucks. Hook that kid up with a mohawk and some color. Barber shops are for old men.

You could try LaContessa on Ragland Road. They specialize in cuts for everyone.

The county shop is no place for children....... Great place just for the guys but everytime I have been in there there was cursin and stuff in the radio. I woul have been pisses if I had my son in there with some if the filth blaring out if those speakers. But it's a great place for grown men.

Dad used to take me in the back of the liquor store that used to be on Prince st. They'd put me on a stool in the back, the light was good, and another guy that worked there had shears and off it'd come.

Yes I know that the curls never come back, I am going to be a wreck when it is cut :( The only reason I am cutting it now is because it is always in his face. He might freak out that's why I want someone good with kids. Thanks for the input so far!
