Why are the union reps encouraging us to vote this in? I think it could be proved ULP and we could get our jobs back. Does anyone understand this? What does the contract being voted in have to do with the 36/40 has'nt the appeal date passed.

The appeal date has passed. Sounds like contempt of court to me.

Saying yes to this contract is like saying yes to the contract that we went on strike over 14 weeks ago. I don't want to believe that I or my family has suffered for merely an unpaid vacation. Mandatory overtime is not addressed near enough. Any of the supervisors will say "we've called all the prn's and floats but no one is available". Where does that leave us? Exactly where we were-working 16 hour shifts. Staffing is not addressed at all. WVNA 201 - this is the exact contract that we chose to strike over. Don't fall for the bull---.

That's sad! I guess ARH thinks that they will wait long enough and string it out and you'll take anything just to get back to work.
That's dirty, underhanded tactics. ARH will not get my business even after the strike is over, Summers County included.

If ARH leaves our nurses behind or out in the cold, it will a bad business decision, many will go elsewhere.

I hope everybody that voted for this contract has a Merry Christmas working 20 hours on Christmas day on a unit they're not used to working--their new position!! I am in shock that our union people, like Pat Tanner, were able to convince3 so many so take this. Maybe all the union officials and Pat and Dewey should go work for Yessin!!!

Believe me, I voted no. I never would agree to the same thing that I said no to 14 weeks ago. I guess that they starved us out.

I guess it really was about the money. They get their 36/40 and to heck with the lower senority nurses. Some will not be called back until March. Look on the bright side if you have been there 16 yrs you won't have to work mandatory overtime and you will probably get back to your position. Wow I feel so blessed. By the way I haven't been there 16 yrs.

I know the strike is over bet I still support you guys because you got the shaft in the deal, next time let them shut the place down like they did Beckley Hospital, which by the way was one of the best hospitals around. By the way RGH sucks!!! those guys fear going union because Kearn would fire them all. Cowards at RGH, Heros at BARH. Go Unions

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Cancer

You've had enough time to yourself lately. This is a day to focus on family, with all the good and bad that that brings. Crabs would much rather be at the top of the tree than down near the roots, but that's life. You might be smart when it comes to matters of the heart, but you don't know it all quite yet.
