Remember there are two sides to every story. Do not believe everything management is giving to the media. We just want a fair contract that we can support our families with. Do some research and find out how much ARH's CEO and CFO make in a year.

Stay Union strong. We just want a fair contract that we can support our families with. Do some reasearch to find out what ARH's CEO and CFO make in a year and see if you think what they are offering is fair.

non-union workers say that we are over paid as it is and that insurance coverage isn't a right, but that's the purpose of a union.....to have better wages and benefits, we pay union dues!

BARH HAS THE MEDIA RIGHT IN THEIR HANDS. THE PUBLIC ONLY KNOWS WHAT CORPORATE AND ROCCO MASSEY WANTS THEM TO KNOW. THE SO CALLED FAIR CONTRACT STATED THAT NEW HIRES WOULD HAVE TO WAIT 7 YEARS FOR A RAISE, PROPOSED 11-13 CENT PAY RAISES OVER A FOUR TERM. FIVE SICK DAYS A YEAR, BUT YOU HAVE TO OFF 3 DAYS BEFORE YOU GET PAID FOR THE FIRST SICK DAY. IF YOU ARE INJURED ON THE JOB AND OFF ON COMP FOR 12 MONTHS THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE. WHO WOULD SIGN THAT CONTRACT? THOSE ARE JUST A FEW OF THEIR PROPOSALS! DURING THE STRIKE IN THE LAST WEEK, ARH MANAGEMENT AND ADMINSTRATION HAVE BROUGHT THEIR OWN FAMILY MEMBERS IN TO CROSS THE PICKET LINE AND DO THE STEELWORKERS JOBS!! AND YOU BETTER BELIEVE THEY ARE MAKING A PRETTY PENNY!! CONFLICT OF INTEREST?? THEY CANT AFFORD A DECENT CONTRACT FOR THE STEELWORKERS, YET THEY HAVE BROUGHT IN AT LEAST 100 NONUNION WORKERS; AGENCY AND CONTRACT WORKERS, FAMILY MEMBERS ALL MAKING $30-$100 AN HOUR. ADMINSRATION HAS HAD DINNER CATERED TO THE HOSPITAL EVERY EVENING FOR THE EMPLOYEES TO EAT FOR FREE. CHINESE, ITALIAN, PIZZAS, KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN!! WONDER HOW MUCH THAT COST THEM?? THE FLOORS ARE BETTER STAFFED NOW WITH CONTRACT AND AGENCY WORKERS THAN BEFORE. ROCCO STATE THAT BARH WAS FULLY OPERATIONAL, BEING RUN BY MANAGEMENT AND NONUNION WORKERS. THE REGISTERED NURSES ARE THERE TOO!! THEY TOO ARE UNION MEMBERS OF THE WVNA!! THEY HAVE TO WORK WITH THE SCABS THAT HAVE DECIDED TO CROSS THAT PICKET LINE. WHEN WILL JERRY HANES DEVELOPE MORALS AND END THIS ALL??

management loves the strike because their families ARE crossing and making BIG bucks....funny those same family members couldn't or wouldn't work there before the strike !!!! WHY??????? THEY CAN PICK THEIR WORKING CONDITIONS BUT THE STEELWORKERS CAN'T?!?

I am glad to see the steel mill workers striking at ARH. From what I understand the conditions at some of the ARH hospitals have got really bad with cleanliness of the facility and overall patient care. It is evident where ARH’s social obligations are, to their CEO. If this company really cared about the community, they would understand that the people who work at the facilities make up the community, if they think back to management 101 in college I am sure they would see it again. The people that are striking are the ones that come to the hospital when they are sick and needing care too. It is a shame that ARH can not SUPPORT the community through the people who take pride in their jobs like the steel mill workers. I know now I will definitely think twice about going to any of the ARH facilities, especially since they have scabs crossing the picket lines. Most people know that scabs are money hungry people, who nine times out of ten can not get jobs anywhere else for various reasons. These people should not be considered professionals as they do not possess the ethics to be a professional in which ever field they are partaking. I know now that in the Beckley area I am going to Raleigh General or Princeton Community until the Steel Mill Workers go back to work, because we all know that they are the true professionals. - J -

Jerry Haynes (CEO)- 750,00 a year
Joe Grossman (2nd Highest Exec. in Corp - 600,000
This information is a matter of public record as ARH is a Not For Profit Corporation.

Do the math 750,000 + 600,000 = 1.35 million for two men thst are trying to take away jobs of hard working people. They can't afford to give the steel workers a fair contract, but they can afford bring in replacements, pay airfare, hotel, transportation, armed gaurds, and catered meals on the job. Bonuses paid to these people are in addition to hourly rates of 40 dollars plus. Capital Nursing in Charleston is just one of several staffing agencies putting workers into ARH's facilities. How is that for West Virginia businesses supporting the citizens of West Virginia?

I wonder what these 2 guy do in a day of work to earn that type of salary???

I also wonder why the governer hasn't made a peep about the situation affecting so many West Virginia workers. Isn't he from a Coal mining family that supported the unions in the past.

I am a student in West Virginia in the medical field and this is showing me how little value is placed on workers in West Virginia by a NOT FOR PROFIT CORPORATION. I think I may have to go to Ohio or Pennsylvania to get a fair opputunity for a career.
