Tracy is alive and well and living at Glade Springs. He doesn't live on the Grandview Farm. If the city paid that much for those swings, then they are the crazy ones. Sounds like Tracy is still using his brain.

Tracy has one of the best houses at Glade its big expensive but its best feature is its on one level !! No steps like all these other High Dollar houses built that are not saleing today. He used his brain even back in the 80s when he went there. It amazed me seeing the original office that he passed daily since for sale !!! I worked on that house and that was my thought even then.

I saw him after this was posted at Go Mart in Beaver and we talked for a few minutes. He looked healthy and was dressed just like years ago and is still liveing at that coal camp in Daniels.
Friend of Coal I think I have done work for you in Shady.

A story used to be pretty common about TH going to a local car dealership to buy a few Cadillacs. Evidently the guy didn't think he could possibly be serious because of the way he was dressed, causing him to take his business elsewhere where he paid cash for a few cars. The snob at the first place must have really felt like some jackass.

Yep, & he is one of the original King Coalers .. Lol. I think of the many thousands of acres of Southern WV his mining operations destroyed, the many miles of streams he polluted & rendered lifeless, I think of the hundreds of employees that he treated unfairly, the hundreds that were killed or injured for his personal monetary gain ... He is in the same category as Don Blankenship ... Guilty, but not proven in court YET!

Created thousands of jobs for people in Southern WV. I dont recall Tracy forcing anyone to work for him. I personally know several people who worked for Tracy and were happy with the pay and the treatment. His Sir Roberts Supper Club was the best restaurant that has ever existed in Beckley.

Why is it that when someone becomes successful through hard work people are so jealous? I thought that was the way things were supposed to work, you build a successful business and hire people to work for you to make you more successful and with the right people you can do so. The government doesn't want to reward people for success but they only put stumbling blocks in their way to slow them down. It is time people were rewarded for hard work and success instead of rewarding people for being lazy and a failure. If a company does something that I don't agree with then I show my displeasure by not buying any of their products or services. So If you and your fellow tree huggers want to protest energy that produces carbon dioxide, either get yourself a self sustained solar/wind power system or sit at home in the cold dark and protest away.

We are slowly but surly bringing the carbon polluters down, but its a long road. In the mean time we will do everything possible to keep extractive industry SOBs from destroying our air, water and mountains. I would guess you are a big fan of folks like Blankenship, Cline & Justice ... LOL.

Without them we have no economy in WV. We are slaves to extraction businesses. They are a necessary evil.
