after having a lease for years beaver land co. is taking it for the new burning rock atv trails.my complaint is I paid to have a road in to the land,I paid to have the land cleared,I paid for the upkeep,I paid for the labor.now that its finally farm workable,the main guy at beaver land is giving it away.Wonder who his friends are!!!not against the four wheelers and the trails just wondering what BLC getting out of it.......lease holders beware you could be next..........

unfortunately thats the chance you take when leasing land...
hope it all turns out well for you. I have a family member who has leased her land from them for nigh on 30 years...Ill warn her to watch out.

I tell you who is friends are...they are all "in bed together" with the Raleigh County Commission. The same thing happened when the soccer fields were built in beckley...new roads, infrastructure, etc. But the real reason for all of the improvements was for the subdivision built close to the soccer fields...guess who owned that land??? You got it, Beaver Land!

If you ever have leased land from them you know
to get every word they say in writing. They are notorious for upping the lease for no good reason and also I think its funny how, if you inquire about leasing some property they tell you its already leased but the will contact the leasee if they want to sublease the property to you. Then they lease the property to friends ,or relatives
and they end up leaseing it to you at an inflated rate. I just wonder if the owners of Beaver Land co. knows whats going on behind the scenes., My guess is not but they might give the okay. I just don't think its a good way of doing business. Seems a little shady to me.
They do some good things for the community though,
but some of the big donations and giving away property is for things like getting infrastructre
for future developments. I Understand it is a business and their goal is to make money, but the way they go about things have to make you wonder.

Watch out folks!!! Beaver Land is timbering in Coal City and Crab Orchard area. When it comes a hard rain, it will have major water "run off" for those folks who live in a flood prone area. Oh well, Beaver Land will have lots of money after being paid for the timber and will be able to face the law suits that will be in place after it all comes down. Another problem, is the mess the timber company is leaving behind as they pick out the trees they want. Limbs and muddy roads are seen throughout our hill sides and wild beautiful WV will no longer exist in these areas after these money hungry folks get through.

Hey Concerned Citizen, I agree!!! They are timbering up Rt. 54 also on the hillside. Muddy mess and will create water run off problems and flooding down where Priddy's and Crab Orchard Pharmacy. Don't care though, that is pretty obvious with Beaver Land. Almighty dollar is the focus!!!
With that said, hang in there for the boat ride down the creek!!!
