this is a shame -most of these classes are not truly affordable to most of the seniors I know, and who live in the Washington County area - it is a private club paid for by general fund tax dollars -
many millions spent on the renovations -
approximately 1% served by their "reduced fee" program -
when I spoke to these folks and asked for a low-income individual to serve on their Board, someone who might understand what I was talking about, much to their discredit, I was told to my face "it's not going to happen,."
this is not an appropriate expenditure of tax dollars.
