John Bryan State Park

Cincinnati, OH

I grew up in Xenia, and spent much of my time at John Bryan. I now live in Florida but am in Ohio for Thanksgiving. I wanted to bring back a few good memories so I took a drive to the park...I was absolutely shocked at how run-down it was....What happened? Is it the usual money thing ?

Justaskin' I was up in the Yellow Springs area for Thanksgiving and drove throught the park...I agree, it looks like crap. That was one of my weekend hangouts when I was growing up.

I went there every weekend growing up.. very sad to hear that! Of course, I felt the same way about the town of Xenia too. All the neighborhoods and all were completely ran down and had changed so much. It was quite sad to me. I loved growing up there as a child and teen but it's true I guess they say you can't go back home.
