My fiance and I have not lived in the Dayton area very long. We are doing engagement pictures Sunday 2/3/13, and we're hoping to do some indoor/outdoor. We are music, outdoors, rustic, old school kind of people...we have considered Oregon District/Downtown Dayton and Wegerzyn Gardens as possible locations. Are there any places that would be good this time of year since there aren't things in bloom? We would REALLY appreciate suggestions! Thanks :))

This time of year? Wow...you'll freeze in an outdoor pic. Down South towards Miamisburg you have Cox Arboretum (sp)but again, this time of year? Nice pond and waterfall area so you could get some stacked stone behind you...then run inside. The Building itself is pretty cool too.

Rough time to get oudoor pics. Funny though, in just 3/4 months (Apr/May) that place is packed every Fri and Sat evening for Prom Pics.

Have you consuidered staging a shot in front or inside of an older chuch? Sorry, best I can do.

Or find some "indoor" scenery at the Schuster Center, yes?

I would echo the Cox Arboretum suggestion, some family members had some great portraits taken there, but it was summer.
Another idea? The Chimneys at Grant Park in Centerville. Very rustic.
