Hey, isn't everyone for GOOD SCHOOLS?
I know I am.

And Teachers, we're all for great TEACHERS, right?
I know I am.

And Good Schools and Great Teachers will benefit everyone looking to reside in Beavercreek, or perhaps you live here already.

But now comes the STICKY POINT......

Why is the burden of Good Schools, and Great Teachers put squarely on the backs of the already struggling homeowner?
I mean we all want a good Police Force, great E.M.S. service, good Parks and Roads....WE ALL WANT THAT!

And if you call the Police do they not show up?
And if you call the E.M.S. service, does it not arrive?
You want Pot Holes fixed, nice Parks and we all enjoy them.

So why are we not all paying for them?

Why is the Homeowner the only source to pay for these services?

They asked the Ohio Supreme Court you know. And the Ohio Supreme Court answered in three separate decisions that it indeed was not just UNFAIR, it was UNCONSTITUTIONAL. So we have the ruling.

Now we need to find someone with the guts to implement it.

And darn it, every time this Levy Stuff comes up with the TEACHERS, it's "ALL ABOUT THE KIDS".
Man, it hasn't been "ALL ABOUT THE KIDS SINCE WE CALLED THE SEMI DRIVERS KNIGHT'S OF THE ROAD".

Can we just shelve that line for awhile.

I don't see teachers coming to the aid of those with homes in Foreclosure, or Marching About What Parents Pay At The Pump, in fact I can't remember the last time a TEACHER did anything to help anyone but themselves.

Go Ahead, Float the May Levy.....have you done your taxes yet?
A few surprise's there.
Maybe get money back from the Federal but I'm betting you owe the STATE.

It use to be that levies put money in the General fund which is used to fund everything and anything when needed. The politicians are very discplined about protecting the general fund.

So what they do is have separate funding for schools, police, etc. and make it sound like they are going to have close these down if the separate funding doesn't pass. However, they can always dip into the general fund to make up shortages.

So how much is in the general fund? Does anyone know? I don't.

Until we can control the spending by balancing it with cuts, I will not vote for any Levy.

There is no "stopping point".

Somehow the "homeowner" is supposed to have a limitless supply of cash to handle Schools, Police, Firefighters, E.M.S. Units, Parks, and Street Repair.

What about the rest of Beavercreek?

We need to make sure we have Public Services, so why isn't everybody paying to foot the bill?

We need to find a "fair and equitable" way to pay for the Services, we all need and use them so we should all pay for them.
