Sophia City Fire Chief Jeff Pittman said that around 8 a.m. his department responded to a fire on Cole Lane in Coal City.

“When our department arrived to the scene the fire was fully involved. It took about four hours for us to get it put out. No one was at home and the cause is still under investigation,” he said.

Hmmm?? that's exactly what happened! Do you have a personal problem with Jeff Pittman? Sounds like you are envious of Jeff and his ability to take charge of a situation.
here we go again

Yeah, anyone that "races" to calls just to try to make someone else look bad is a public hazard and shouldn't be allowed to run code. I'm a firefighter and all this shit talking is absolutely ridiculous. Were all inthis together and we should all be doing this to help the community; not to be viewed as cool or whatever the hell you're trying to do. Really guys, work together for fighting the cause, not each other. Think about it. Jughead

So how does that work? I mean, Sophia City now running Sophia Area, and working their way up the hill to Coal City. Really, does it take three departments to make a car wreck or a tree down. Come on people. Seriously.

Come on guys go somewhere draw a circle get in it and just Fight it out and then get on with your lives..
I can remember when if you had a fire in Coal City the only Fire Department that would come to Help was the Sophia Volunteers..They came all the way up here to try and save someones Home..Didnt get Paid did it to Serve our Communities..
Thank God they would come all the way up here just to help...wasnt no Independance road back then so they came the old way..
Didnt have to come but it was just the kind of Men they were..So now we have a Fire Department and thank God we do they dont have to Help the Community but they will..Takes a Better Man than me to Fight Fires for someone else..I just cant see why there has to be so much bitterness about such wonderful Folks Men and Women risking their Lives to Help me and My Neighbors..
God Bless Em...If it takes 3 Companies to get a Dead Cat out of the Road..Just Remember they dont have to be there..And if they wrent where would we be then..
From this Old Fart thank you Coal City, Sophia, Rhodell and any other Fire Departments who serve their Fellow Man...You are Special People and Most of Us Respect and Love you for your Actions in Our Defence...We can Never Thank you Enough....Fart

So what you are saying here is that it does take 3 to get a cat out of the tree, and you are right, they don't have to be there. I haven't seen anyone getting a cat out of a tree. Except maybe those few gunge ho guys that has made their way around 3 departments so what is up with that?

YOU stirred the pot of crap.... this thread had died - YOU and your IGNORANCE revived it.... seriously... who is your damn chief??? firefighters should at least be required to have a GED - i KNOW you have no education..... PERIOD....*** pepol*** no doubt u are one of those brainiacs that dropped out of school.. or graduate through the crutches of special ed... you really need an ethics class... u need to be taught professionalism.... and with your level of intelligence... remember: SILENCE IS TRULY GOLDEN... spare the world the pain of your stupidity...
