Only 1 Person Claps After Obamaís Speech...
Okay, that was certainly embarrassing. At the end of a joint news conference with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte in the Netherlands on Tuesday, the applause for Barack Obama came from a grand total of one guy. One.

After thanking the crowd twice for suffering through his boring, standard worn-out spiel, Obama looked around the room, expecting the usual fanfare and applause he receives from his loyal followers back home. It never came.
Instead, the Leader of the Free World was met with one slow, awkward clap.

The New York Times today has a lovely look at yet another wonderful byproduct of our bright new age of campaign finance.

The party of Christian values and self-reliance and personal responsibility gathered its elite to pay homage to creepy old gambling magnate Sheldon Adelson, who can personally finance an entire presidential campaign from his vast treasury of sin-laden cash.

Mr. Adelsonís effort officially kicked off on Wednesday, when lawmakers, including a senator, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, who has accepted tens of thousands of dollars in donations from the businessman and his family, introduced legislation originally drafted with Mr. Adelsonís lobbyist.

The bill would close a three-year-old loophole in federal law by banning online gambling - a growing industry that Mr. Adelson argues is bad for casinos and gamblers - and shutting down online gambling in a handful states that recently legalized it.

The dispute has already largely sidelined the industryís powerful trade group, the American Gaming Association, after Mr. Adelson threatened to withdraw from the organization if it continued to back expanded online gambling, according to several industry executives.

So much of the money primary in the 2016 Republican primary nomination fight is being conducted on the Planet Of The UltraGreedheads. Thatís wonderful just on its own, but get a load of the very conservatives folks who are lining up to kiss olí Shelís, ah, ring.

Mr. Adelsonís political prominence will be on display Thursday in Las Vegas at the start of the four-day meeting of the Republican Jewish Coalition - an event that has attracted several 2016 presidential prospects, including Jeb Bush, a former governor of Florida; Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey; Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin; and Gov. John R. Kasich of Ohio.

Mr. Adelson, whose $38 billion fortune makes him among the richest men in the world, poured roughly $100 million into Republican campaigns in 2012, and he is known for pushing ideological fights in Washington. The battle over online gambling shows how he also lobbies for his business.

What cracks me up..if you add Adelson and the Koch Brothers fortunes pumping the Republican...you still get wingnuts like Heat going bonkers over George Soros...lol...

You never see or read about George Soros holding open casting call for Dem. nominees....

State lawmaker proposes plan to move money from cultural center to capitol repairs, schools

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.- State Rep. Sean Roberts said he will propose to modify a plan to provide $40 million to the American Indian Cultural Center.

Senate Bill 1651 would provide $40 million towards the completion of the American Indian Cultural Center and Museum from the stateís Unclaimed Property Fund.

Robertsí proposal would amend the bill to provide $20 million to make repairs to the exterior of the Oklahoma State Capitol and $20 million to fund public schools in the state.

ďIt is irresponsible to propose providing money to a questionable project that will primarily benefit Oklahoma City when we are struggling to provide adequate funding for education and for the repair of the ĎPeopleís House,íĒ said Roberts, R-Hominy.

Roberts said he will propose the modified plan on Monday.

LMAO the BIZARRE comments coming out of you bigoted libtards are getting quite hilarious.

Village idiot, are you okay? It looks like you were about to go into full psychotic breakdown there at the end. You should find an outlet for that anger before you wake up and find yourself in prison labeled as a serial killer one day. It's not healthy and your last few days of posts show that it's starting to take a huge toll in you.
