Robison Family Murders

What happened to the Robison Family murder thread?

Where has our forum gone I've been all over the Topix pgs. trying to find it. All links lead to no where. Sort of like this case.

I've got a feeling that technically we should have had our own Blog. A simple question got into hundreds of responses that were taking up a lot of space on the Beaver Island Blog and had nothing to do with Beaver Island. Most likely the owner of the site simply eliminated us.
It would have been nice to have been given the chance to relocate everything to a new location and direct people there but it doesn't look like that is what they were willing to do.
I'm not sure what can be done at this point.

There are hundreds of forums on Topix all over the country that have run longer and are lagrer than this one. I suggest anyone intersted should contact Topix at Feed back to see where it went and how we can get it returned with all posts intact.

You missed my point.(Probably because I didn't make it clear enough). The forum belongs to someone. They created it and it's supposed to be Beaver Island related, which the Robison family murder isn't. Someone posted a question there because there wasn't a Good Hart forum and it grew from there. You'd have to contact Topix and see who the forum belongs to and find out why the subject was removed.

Been through this before with another subject. There was never an attempt to get as big as it did within that forum. It just took on a life of its own and the owner objected. That's why I said it would have been nice to be given a chance to see if we could open our own forum and move the posts in that subject to it. Topix might still have a backup copy of the posts in our Subject/Topic and be able to help create a new forum.

I was wondering what happened, it was very informative.. you can see some of the pages by searching in google "Robinson family murders" in quotes, selecting "see all from this website" and then cache, but its not all the pages

I tried and got no response of any kind. I emailed Mardi to see if she knew anything about it but I haven't heard from her either.

I was also upset/shocked to see that the on-line chats about the Robison Family Murders of Good Hart, Michigan seem to have vanished.

A thought - could someone who has been reading these e-mail postings (but not responding in kind, just reading) have eliminated them. Getting a little too close to the truth?? Or providing new insight on who to contact?

I was wondering the same thing, that or it may be because the case now may be considered solved and closed in some eyes.

I also wondered if it was taken down because of threats of slander by some of the people whose names or family names have been mentioned. The new posts on this site were removed too. Only one new post at this time. I found this because of e-mail notification. Could the Beaver Island/Cross Village area not want to be associated with a such sensational even though old unsolved murder. Bad for the image 40 years later.

As you can see I have two location and neither are even close to my real residence. I think it may have something to do with your servers location or satelite.

Richard of Petosky if my memory serves me correctly. I suggest going there to read it and then post a response here. It should stimulate some
interesting discussion.

Well and here it comes Christmas 2009. So many very bright and thinking persons have been on this site (the current one). And I thank you to them. It will be solved, the murders. It will make those surviving members of the family have some sort of resolution - it will happen.
