I received a picture text today of my mother's bronze memorial. The picture was of the memorial but missing the bronze vase and missing the solar light that flickered at night like a candle. The horrid image was sent to me from my 21 year old daughter. She went to Grove Cemetery to check on her GaGa's (grandmother's) grave. She went because we heard from other family members that my mothers grave was one out of many that was victimized with theft.I cried an had a horrible day over this.My mother struggled for many years to raise my brothers an I.She did without so we could have what we needed an sometimes what we wanted.I was proud if her final resting place memorial because even though she didn't have much all her life. She had the best, most beautiful bronze memorial! She left this life at 55 years "young." I loved the red memorial solar light that flickered at the head if her grave.I use to drive by at dusk just to make sure it still shined. It shined like her love for all of us kids.Unfortunately I wont be replacing that light because I don't have the money to do so.I was bitter all day over this. But as the day ends I'm finding peace in this matter.I was thinking this guy that stole these vases obviously has an addiction of some sort.Mind you I know him,we went to the same high school.I'm not sure what his addiction is.Maybe drugs, alcohol or maybe even gambling. But whatever it is I hope this is the final straw for him.I hope that even though he has hurt all the families he stole from.I Pray that this is a turning point for his recovery an he changes his life for the better.Andy you haven't seen me since high school, but if you happen to see this.I Pray you turn your life around and if my mothers vase had to be stolen for you to make the change.Well then I forgive you!

These pawn shops and "recycling centers" are a blight on society and serve NO PURPOSE at all. And one admitted they had already melted down the vases. These places are just as guilt as the thief and should be treated as such. The youth that stole $12,000 in jewelry from his neighbor and got $1200 for it should be be put away for a long time. The "gold pawn shop" said they had already melted down the jewelry. What are they trying to hide??? And how many stolen pieces of jewelry have they been involved with. And what kind of excuse is "I did it to feed my drug habit". Get off you azz and go and get a job LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. This country is turning into a bunch of people that do not want to work or do anything and EXPECTS the government to take care of them. When are we going to wake up???
