murder/suicide

Trying to find info about suicide around Utica,NE
area on Sat. 8/15/09, approx. 8:30 p.m.
The man was a family member and wife is being
most uncooperative. Can anyone help?

It happened at Beaver Crossing, NE. Approximately 2 1/2 - 3 miles south east.

Red or Maroon older car. Some one said older pontiac. Guard strip off driver's door. Handicap license plates.

I'm trying to keep my response to strictly what I know is factual. Too many can start w/rumors & then things get crazy. There has been a lot of speculation going on & I try to steer clear of that.
Around 7 p.m. a call came out on the scanner for a domestic dispute & that was the end of it.
(People assumed a domestic meant two.) And that isn't even proof it was the same situation. But, it was the only call I heard from Beaver Crossing. Law enforcement had things cleaned up & the car hauled off around 11:30 p.m.
Can you tell me why you think/know there was another victim? And why the wife isn't cooperating?

Because we live so far away, and we
were told different stories from different people about what happened, we thought there were 2 people involved. My family would like to thank you for all your help.

I thought it sounded strange, but every thing I've told you is as truthful as I can be, w/out going into repeating possible gossip. Wish I could help you more. I know this is a painfully sad time for you. You are in my thoughts & prayers.

So it has not yet made the papers? And what about an autopsey? With it being a shooting, should there not have been one? Why is it so hush hush? Does the family have that much control over the LE? Makes one think, maybe it was murder and not suicide.And why can't his family get straight answers from the LE?

Has the family contacted LE? Called the funeral homes?
I don't know about an autopsy either, but one would think it is standard procedure when some thing like this happens.
I've searched the papers & can find NOTHING, other than the obits.
There was a suicide in Beaver Crossing not that long ago & it was the same thing.......just an obit. I found most of my answers on topix.
Call the state patrol,etc & I hope you can find your answers.

I am surprised you would join in with something so strange. Smith Falls is no where near Beaver Crossing and LE is for law enforcement.

Yes Louise, that is the one I was refering to. At SMITH DAM north west of Beaver Crossing.

The obit from Volzke Funeral Home said NO services.
Where would they have the rifle salute? Where did Deb A. get this info?
