Miles of S**T floating in Puget Sound 6 weeks after Bainbridge sewage spill

It's been 6 weeks since the Bainbridge Island sewage leak. I've been sailing every weekend since then between Alki and Edmonds, waiting for it to disappear. But it's not. There are GIGANTIC areas out there that are absolutely disgusting. I'm talking square MILES, strung out in long lines. Some places are so thick you can practically walk on it. It's horrible what we do to the Sound--that which makes Seattle so wonderful. If you want to see it take a ferry ride to Bainbridge, or hop on a boat an look off of West Point--off discovery. It's there that I saw the monster sludge. An area that could be a square mile in size, just strung out.

There is not nearly enough outrage about this. Does anyone else out there care???

I saw a lot of brown foam all over the water on the way to Vashon Island from Alki. I did not know what it was, but now knowing this, it really is all over the place.

I just moved from Seattle to Kingston so I had to cross on the Edmonds-Kingston ferry a few times...and that's when I saw the disgusting brown sludge. Made me sick inside to think we would allow this leak to happen and not care about cleaning it up. To me, the PNW is 'Paradise' and I want it to stay that way.
