Ms. Brooks is the former evening news anchor for WAWS, Fox 30, in Jacksonville, Florida. That station lost out by letting her go.

Bev has a new anchoring job! She has been hired at KBMT 12 News in Beaumont, Texas. They don't have their bio page updated as of yet but you can see her loveliness in the station header across the top of the page. http://www.kbmt12.com/

As a loyal viewer of kmbt12, your loss is our gain. It's refreshing to have a female anchor who is watchable. Beverly is very professional and knows her business - no stuttering, no trying to find the right words, no jerkiness, no bloopers, just pure professional. I like her very much. She's a pleasure to watch. Actually, she's really too good for our area; so she probably won't stay here for long. Then it'll be our loss.

I, for one, sure hope she likes our area and stays.

Texan, Don't I just know she's your gain? I dang sure do now.:) Bev will probally stay a while or two. She was in Jacksonville for over ten years prior to being "fired" 3 months ago. I checked her out the entire ten years too! What can I say? I got "hooked." LoL. I hear tell she now sports a big rock on her finger due to her recently falling in love. Enjoy her while you still can...

Well, it's not like Beverly wasn't familiar with the Triangle before; I remember when she was a reporter on KBMT back in the early '90s. She must have had very fond memories of the area, or she wouldn't have returned, unlike many reporters who put Beaumont WAY in their rearview mirrors when they move on to bigger and better things. Either way, it's nice to have her back in town.

WOW!! When she first hit the air on KBMT, I thought my eyes were deceiving me...I never saw her in the 90s...but never has KBMT had such a professional HOTTIE (and I mean that in the most complimentary way)...Even Becky Barnett (remember her from the 70s) was NO WAY even close to Beverly...HOW did Florida lose her??? Watching her demos from FOX30 in Jacksonville, she obviously came from a better station and market..so WHY back to Beaumont?? Hey, I like what I see....makes me want to watch 12 more (I usually watch 13 out of Houston because I like the presentation there better!) WAS that a ring I saw on her finger tonight???(Dont tell me she is engaged now?? DAMN I thought I may get a shot :)
