I am trying to find out what happened to him.. I live in texas and all i was told was that he died. I tried to look up info on the eureka herald website but it is unsearchable or not clear on how to search it.... Any information would be greatly appreciated..

I am also trying to find out what happened to him. I live in Missouri and was told that there was a wreck on his way home from work. I can not find a way to get in touch with his wife or any information here. He was a great man with a huge heart...please give info.

One of our citizens saw where there were a couple of queries asking about the death of Michael Colonnese. I hope this helps all of you who are wondering about this tragedy.
Michael "Mikie" Bonaventure Colonnese, 25, of Eureka, died Monday, June 11, 2007, near Hamilton. He "was killed in a one-vehicle accident shortly after noon on Monday of this week. He was driving a 1971 Volvo oil rig pulling unit and was northbound on K-99. Near the 240th Street intersection (about two miles south of Hamilton) he apparently lost control of the vehicle. He was a 2001 graduate of Eureka High School. Skid marks on the highway revealed that the truck, coming out of a curve, went to the right, then to the left, back to the right and then crossed the center line and went off the west side of the highway and overturned. The vehicle was owned by Hurricane Drilling of Madison."
His funeral was held Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Koup Family Funeral Home in Eureka, Kansas. He was buried in the Greenwood Cemetery, Eureka, Greenwood County, Kansas.

I knew mike (Mikie) for several years and shared some special times with him. I knew him in high school and knew his wife and i just wanted to say to her that i am very sorry and was very shocked to here that he was killed at a very young age. he was a very kind hearted and special person. he will be missed and never forgoten as Mikie.
