Last night, I watched some episodes of “Stalked, someone‘s watching” and although I already knew a lot of what was being said and can relate with much of what was happening on the show, it’s seems more extreme when it’s a detective or criminal psychologist explaining what goes through the mind of a stalker. So I did a little researching and this is what I found.

Obsessed stalkers will hardly ever stop stalking their “prey” and it is almost always psychopaths or sociopaths that‘s doing the stalking.

There are five types of stalkers:
1 Predatory: this stalker will spy on the victim to prepare and plan an attack on the victim
2 Incompetent suitor: this stalker has a fixation on the victim and a sense of entitlement to a relationship with the victim.
3 Intimacy seeking: this stalker intends to create an intimate connection with the victim and believes the victim is a "soul mate".
4 Rejected: this stalker pursues the victim to correct or avenge being rejected by the victim.
5 Resentful: this stalker intends to pursue the victim with a vendetta and is motivated by intimidating, distressing, and creating a sense of powerlessness in the victim.

The Psychotic Stalkers typically have a pre-existing mental health disorder such as schizophrenia, delusional disorder, or bipolar disorder with psychosis. Those in this category typically have stalking as a symptom of the psychiatric disorder.

The non psychotic stalker typically also has a mental health disorder but is in full reality of what they are doing and the mental health condition is not the cause of the stalking. Such disorders might include: substance dependence, personality disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder.

30 million people are stalked yearly in the USA.
__________
“A Study of Women Who Stalk”
http://ajp.psychiatryonline.org/article.aspx...

The authors examined whether female stalkers differ from their male counterparts in psychopathology, motivation, behavior, and propensity for violence.

female stalkers were outnumbered by male stalkers by approximately four to one.

Higher rates of substance abuse were also noted among the male stalkers, but the psychiatric status of the groups did not otherwise differ.

The duration of stalking and the frequency of associated violence were equivalent between groups. The nature of the prior relationship with the victim differed, with female stalkers more likely to target professional contacts and less likely to harass strangers. Female stalkers were also more likely than male stalkers to pursue victims of the same gender. The majority of female stalkers were motivated by the desire to establish intimacy with their victim, whereas men showed a broader range of motivations.

Axis I diagnoses were found in 18 female stalkers. Twelve manifested delusional disorders (erotomanic type [N=8] and jealous type [N=2], with two morbid infatuations categorized as delusional disorder, unspecified type). The other axis I diagnoses were schizophrenia (one of whom exhibited erotomanic delusions), bipolar disorder, and major depressive disorder. Personality disorders were diagnosed in an additional 20 of the female stalkers (predominantly dependent [N=6], borderline [N=6], and narcissistic types [N=3]).

Stalking
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalking

Stalking is a term commonly used to refer to unwanted or obsessive attention by an individual or group toward another person. Stalking behaviors are related to harassment and intimidation and may include following the victim in person or monitoring them.

According to a 2002 report by the National Center for Victims of Crime, "Virtually any unwanted contact between two people [that intends] to directly or indirectly communicates a threat or places the victim in fear can be considered stalking"[1] although in practice the legal standard is usually somewhat more strict

Psychological effects on victims
Disruptions in daily life necessary to escape the stalker, including changes in employment, residence and phone numbers, may take a toll on the victim's well-being and lead to a sense of isolation.[
According to Lamber Royakkers,
"Stalking is a form of mental assault, in which the perpetrator repeatedly, unwantedly, and disruptively breaks into the life-world of the victim, with whom they have no relationship (or no longer have). Moreover, the separated acts that make up the intrusion cannot by themselves cause the mental abuse, but do taken together (cumulative effect)."[7]

Gender studies of stalkers
According to one study, women often target other women, whereas men generally stalk women only.

Conversely, as is more commonly the case, the stalker has no antipathic feelings towards the victim, but simply a longing that cannot be fulfilled due to deficiencies either in their personality or their society's norms

Why am I being stalked?
http://homepage.psy.utexas.edu/homepage/group...

Understanding the stalker….

Resentful Stalker

Motivation
(a) Wants to frighten and distress his victim.
(b) Stalks his victim to get revenge against someone who has upset him.
(c) Views his victim as being similar to those who have oppressed and humiliated him in the past.
(d) May view himself as a victim striking back against an oppressor.

Personality
(a) Is often irrationally paranoid.

Victim Characteristics
(a) Stalks victims that may have upset him directly or are representative of a group at which he is upset.
(b) May stalk someone he knows or a complete stranger.

Stalking Behaviors
(a) Can be the most obsessive and enduring type of stalker.
(b) Is the most likely to verbally threaten his victim.
(c) Is one of the least likely to physically assault his victim.
Duration and Criminality
(a) Is likely to stop stalking if confronted with legal sanctions early on. The longer the stalking continues, the less effective legal sanctions are likely to be.

Predatory Stalker

Motivation
(a) Stalks his victim as part of a plan to attack her, usually sexually.
(b) Is motivated by the promise of sexual gratification and power over his victim.

Personality
(a) Often has poor self-esteem and is sexually deviant.
(b) Often has poor social skills, especially in romantic relationships.
(c) May have lower than normal intelligence.
Victim Characteristics
(a) May stalk someone he knows or a complete stranger.

Stalking Behaviors
(a) Usually does not harass or try to contact his victim while he is stalking her. He is unlikely to provide any kind of his plan to attack the victim.
(b) May engage in behaviors such as:
- Surveillance of the victim
- Obscene phone calls
- Exhibitionism
- Fetishism
- Voyeurism (Peeping Tom)
- Paedophilia/hebephilia
- Sexual masochism and sadism
- Paraphilic asphyxia

Duration and Criminality
(a) May stalk for a shorter period of time than other types of stalkers.
(b) Is more likely to have prior criminal convictions, most often sexual, than other types of stalkers.
(c) Has a high potential to commit sexual assault.

This described my stalker to a “T”.

Friends and Acquaintances

(a) The victim may be stalked by an intimacy seeker or an incompetent suitor motivated by a desire to start a romantic relationship with the victim.
(b) They may be stalked by a resentful stalker, typically a neighbor, who may be involved in a disagreement with the victim about something such as noise, the location of a tree, or pets.
(c) The resentful stalker's grudge may escalate to:
- personal threats
- complaints to law enforcement and local government
- property damage
- theft or killing of pets
- letters or notes on the victim's car or house
- breaking into the victim's house or apartment
- watching the victim's movements
- physically assaulting the victim
(d) The resentful stalker also may target the victim's family and friends
(e) Law enforcement involvement is difficult when the resentful stalker is a neighbor because their residence is in such close proximity to the victim.
(f) Many victims move to a different location as a way to avoid the stalker. Although this action may seem drastic, it is most often an effective solution.

This is a little extra tidbit that describes chuck’s cyber stalking and bullying of the past…which incidentally is what prompted my ongoing stalker, and of course there‘s elmer g, his good buddy.

What is a stalker?

Stalkers will often denigrate and objectify their victims. This can help stalkers to abuse their victims without experiencing empathy, and may reflect or fuel a belief that they are entitled to behave as they please toward the victims. Viewing victims as "lesser," "weak" or otherwise seriously flawed can support delusions that the victims need to be rescued, or punished, by the stalkers. Stalkers may slander or defame the character of their victims which may isolate the victims and give the stalkers more control or a feeling of power.

For the info of visitors who are interested in stalking, there is one form of stalking which got shoved aside by officials after the anti-stalking laws came on stream in the early 1990s - that is "organized" stalking.

For anyone interested, there is an e-booklet which explains this type of stalking here:

Poor old Pam. This will not generate the pity you wish it to. You did this your self. First with Chuck then with bigjim and then with me. You are the cause of bigjim's stroke. Prove I'm stalking you. Prove that you are not a paranoid liar that the people of topix needs to be warned about. You do seem to live here. I am providing a much needed service. Exposing you as the Liar, Bully and Coward you are.

I knew you would blame Eleanor of being me...I do believe you are that freak steve holbrook from Jackson. You are a very sick person.

@ Eleanor, I read your e-book, it was interesting. I know it's mostly about school children but my stalker (ELMER) has the mentality of an 11 year old, so it applies to my situation as well.

ELMER is my lone stalker now but before he showed up, there was a orginized stalking situation where I had half the Lee co. school personell attacking me all at once because i was complaining about the principal who eventually did get fired for failing the high school.

all's well that ends well.

I'm sorry but when did Land get fired? He is still at the Lee county schools. He still makes the same money for less work. Pam if you think you had anything to do with this you are lying to yourself. The school board needed a scape goat. Mr. Land took the fall. You understand nothing. You talk about stuff with out a clue. You have never been stalked. You will know it when it happens it wont have anything to do with this site.

Yes they were. They had the right to attack your bullshit on a public forum. You have made threats to sue and take criminal action on what being said. The fact is you lying dirt bag you can't. Nobody is guilty of stalking you. It's a public forum. Anywhere you post anyone has the right there to post what a liar you are. The funny thing is; there is not one damn thing you can do about it.

Can you prove this elmer? Can you go to the IRS with evidence of tax fraud? Do it I dare you! Your threats and stupid claims have never done anything. You have talked about the tax cheats for several years always with threats of exposure. It's never happened and never will. You are a piss poor liar Crone.

Only the Shadow knows who is watching who. It does not go in circles although it appears that way. It is in fact a spiral as such it has a beginning and a end.
