Rebates from last years overpaid insurance premiums, goes into effect due to 'Obama Cares' this year! The average rebate per family will be $151.00 according to the news. The way it works is your insurance company gets to keep 20% off the top of what insurance premiums you paid, then the last 80% minus the amount you used, will be refunded to you or your company to either lower your premiums for 'this' year, or refund it directly to 'you'. Good deal, huh? Of course the congressmen who get big lobby checks from the medical fields had hoped the Supreme Court would have judged it unconstitutional, but I don't think they quite made it in time! If the Supreme Court throws out the 'mandate' hopefully the democrats will stay after it until we are all on a 'single payer' system. In other words, same insurance for all! However Romney has sworn he will repeal the law, and we will go back to being gouged and at their mercy. Huray Romney..?.....NOT! Republicans are banking that we will not have time to realize the good things in the Bill, because things such as this are no brainers, everybody wants a fair shake!

Why don't you go back to the Irvine board and spew your stupidity there?

You believe health care is a right that should be paid for by the government.

I believe health care is a commodity to be purchased on the open market like food, clothing. fuel, transportation, entertainment, etc.

Like everything else, you get what you can afford. If you can afford fillet mignon, you eat fillet mignon. If you can afford bologna, you get bologna. And so should it be with health care. I don't buy into your socialist utopia and I don't think health care should be equal for all. I have no problems with people who make more money than I do getting better health care because they can afford it. If I can't afford it, I don't deserve to have it. This class warfare has got to stop. I eat a lot of bologna and I don't hold it against those who can afford fillet mignon.

I think you eat a lot of sh*t because you appear to be full of it. You libtards and socialists are ruining this country, destroying the free enterprise system and ripping our individual freedoms away from us. It has to stop.(And no, the freedom to kill an unborn child doesn't count, where I come from that's called "murder" not "women's rights.")

Go worship at the altar of Obama/Marx/Lenin/Mao and leave the rest of us the fvck alone.

LMFAO!!!! Pam is a libtard! Should have known. LIberalism is all about feelings and emotions, and not at all about logic and intelligence, so Pam fits right in.

And now she thinks I'm Chuck too! Everybody is Chuck! Unless they're a Thorpe. Or an Addison.

You people would be funny if not for the fact that you are loose in society and some of you vote.

What's the matter? Good news make you sad? Low self esteem? Going through life thinking you should be everybody's door mat? Your dog hates you and deep down your stuck with bologna? Afraid you're going to blink and someone will perform an abortion on you while you weren't looking? Your kind of 'republican' is such a hypocrite! You want to make Laws that will take people's PERSONAL RIGHTS, like it's against the law for a woman to take a 'birth control pill', or 'connive to take away peoples votes', but to regulate the 'health care system' is unconstitutional! Funny Funny Funny! You either will not, or are incapable of, understanding new things. The Socialist programs such as SS/SSI, Medicare/Medicaid, and the VA are nicely done, but unfortunately we still WON'T QUALIFY.. Since you have shown me absolutely no respect, I'll return in kind, and dumb this program down for little ole you.

You will not need to change your insurance company if you are happy with it! How many times will it take for that information to sink in? If you wish to join in a pool of Insurance with others THROUGH the government, that either believe their insurance is too high, they work but cannot afford insurance, or their employer does not offer insurance, you may. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO! You can keep your same insurance and go on your merry way, apparently from what you wrote you are not happy with it, but hay, you're not the sharpest knife in the drawer are you?

Republicans, the ones like 'you', wants to keep the status quo, because they get a lot of their campaign money from big 'pharma'ceutical companies, hence 'big pharma' gets away with murder and lots of money. Obama Care was originally a republican program called ROMNEY CARE, but they hate it now, because it was passed by a DEMOCRAT, and what's worst, by Obama. I don't expect you to either understand this, nor agree with Obama Care, I just thought it would be nice for the rest of us to know, if you understand, or just have an axe to grind. I just once wish one of you Romney'ettes would put your money where your big mouth is...like if you have a rebate coming, go to the newspaper and let them record 'YOU' giving it away. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

I'm sure with your sunny disposition, you'll be as thrilled as the rest of us, with the hope of getting our moneys worth.

If you hate these subjects, what keeps you coming back? Definition of Insanity?

You have to show a photo ID to buy cigarettes or beer, to rent a hotel room or to return an item at Walmart. Why not require one for something as important as voting? How is requiring someone to prove they are who they claim they are conniving to take away someone's right to vote? How is purging the voter registration rolls of people who are not qualified to vote doing so?

A lady called into Sean Hannity's radio show today. She moved from Florida to Colorado and registered to vote in Colorado. But she is still registered in Florida. If she wanted to, she could vote in Colorado in the morning and then fly to Florida and vote that afternoon. And you think that's OK? Apparently you do because you seem to show your opposition to Florida's cleaning up its voter registration lists.

OMG this is the FUNNIEST post I have EVER read!!! I can't believe it is seriously here, R U SERIOUS? lollollol........

1st and most importantly, this thread is about the 'rebate we may be receiving from overpayment premiums to our insurance companies, but I'll let that go, because I did broach the subject, a.n.d...I do believe you are honestly wanting to have a conversation. I love to talk politics!

I have NO problem with any of the states cleaning up their voter rolls, however what's going on now is illegal! It would seem that our ancestors took this into consideration when writing the voters laws, and stated that 'no names can be removed from Voter Rolls unless requested by the voter, in under a year unless proven to be deceased'. So what these 'Republican Governors' stress [Republican] are doing is illegal. That's why Rick Scott, Governor of Fla. is demanding a 'list of occupants' from Homeland Security. He has already taken it upon himself to get rid of thousands off the Fla Voter Roll, before he got into trouble with the Federal Justice Dept.. He 'claimed' he sent out letters before he purged the lists, but how do we know he did, or if they received them? This is a presidential election year, with high expectations that people of color will lead to a heavy turn out. Most older blacks and Latinos for that matter were born at home and have very little schooling so little or no paper work as a result. Many of the elderly just like our elderly do not read, or drive. The paper work they are requiring is stuff they have never had to have before, yet they have voted all these years. Unless they drive they probably don't have a picture ID...... There have been many stories on the national news about how impossible it is for those in the country to get to the big cities and have all the paper work required to register. I'm guessing that's why the 'voter laws' were written, to give a year to register. This should NEVER happen in the United States.

I hope you do not depend on your news coming from 'Fox News/Comedy Shows'. Have you noticed that none of them besides Shepherd Smith has the word 'news' in their name? Hannity is the worst! I flip it over sometimes just to hear the days talking points.

Do you REALLY think that it would be worth a 2 Way Plane Ticket to vote twice, and EVEN if that happened, obviously it would'nt happen but once, I've never known of a national race that was determined by less than thousands of votes, but what if they could target a whole race? Now that could that make a difference?

Kentucky law requires that registered voters who do not vote in x number of years (I forget the actual number, but it may be 5) be purged from the rolls. That's hardly a voluntary request from the voter.

Kind of amazing that I answer you at all, given the insulting name you meant for 'me', but instead it ends up in your ID box! How 'DO' you make it through the day, without someone slapping you silly, or getting hopelessly lost?...

NONE of the States with DEMOCRAT Governors, are challenging their citizens votes, only the states with REPUBLICAN Governors.. How bout that? I'm sure you're right, for whatever reasons, if after a while someone has not exercised their vote, steps would be taken to verify the location of the person in question, but if a person lived in the same house for years, would they EVER need to re-register? To either refuse or interfere with a citizen of the United States vote, is a against the law, and that is what is being done now! One of the main ways they can keep up with voter registration is changing the address on your drivers license. Once you renew your license the court house takes care of moving your vote to the different precinct and finding the new occupant that moved into your old place. Then every 10 years the Census makes sure the physical residence is recorded as occupied or vacant, the ones that are inhabitable are removed from records. And a general head count is done.

What those republican governors are doing is wong, and should be treason. Even though the Justice Dept. has told them to stop they are continuing to destroy records, and to some of the elderly, it will be too much of a hassle to get all their stuff together, if they even have the stuff like birth certificates, picture IDs, plus another record they want, then make it to the court house during business hours and re-register to vote, something that the news has interviewed several elderly saying they have voted for 60 years and suddenly they have to re-register!?! Out of MILLIONS of votes, there has been less that 100 who have cast any doubt! This is wrong, and the republicans are especially zeroed in on Fla., remember last time they were able to lie using Fla. to get Bush elected, they will do anything to win. No valley is too low, and even if the Justice Dept could make them stop tomorrow, a lot of the damage is irreversible! Did you ever think someone could take your vote in America? If you think this is OK, then you're not about what's right but what 'party' wins at 'any' cost.

You need to quit reading Daily Kos and watching MSNBC. You do yourself no favors regurgitating their lies.

I favor making sure that only those who are legally entitled to vote are on the voting rolls. That means purging the rolls of the dead, the illegal aliens and any others who are not legally entitled to vote. Sorry you want those who are not entitled to vote to have that right. It speaks poorly of you and your principles.

I'll bet the dead won't show up, and by the way, you're more gullible than a anyone I've talked to in a long time, if you really don't have enough sense to know this is a conspiracy to make it as difficult as possible for some minorities [democrats], that will show up at the booths only to be told their names have been removed. Do you truly believe this is the way it should be handled, that if the situation were reversed and a Governor 'Democrat', claims he/she had sent you a letter with instructions, and since you had not responded, you had forfeited you right to vote. That would be OK? I do realize EVERYONE is not that impressed with voting, but I never thought someone would actually get on here and defend this crime.. There has already been complaints that not everyone in the family had gotten a letter yet some had been removed. That was on the National 'NEWS'!

People have fought and died for our freedom to vote, and YOU come up with some LAME excuse that a DEAD person may still be on the 'voter rolls'..cause you saw it on Dobb's blackboard??...how bout some CSPAN, TIME, NEWSWEEK?

Dobb's blackboard? What is that?

And I guess you forget that people are allowed to cast provisional ballots if their names are not on the voter registration rolls and they think they are entitled to vote.

People fought and died to make sure that only legally registered voters are allowed to vote.

I guess you don't favor making people show an ID to vote, either. When I lived in a town where no one knew me, I could have pulled off voting 3 or 4 times in one election because the election officers didn't bother to check my ID and they took my word that I was who I said I was. Of course they presumed I was a filthy stinkin' Democrat and automatically looked in that side of the registration book before I told them no way in Hell would I ever be a Democrat.

I believe the truth. Liberals like "Lib" and others wouldn't know the truth if it walked up and tried to shake their hand.

It must really suck to go through life ignorant and misinformed and so willing to believe everything the government tells you.

I love America too much to do that. That's why I'm committed to eradicating liberalism in this country and returning to the founding principles.

Read the Constitution sometime. It might be liberating and enlightening.
