I am concerned about some things that I have seen and feel that people should know about.

People have been pulled out of bed during the night to be given a shower instead of getting one during the day.

People lights go off for long periods of time and no one answers them, because no one wants to deal with it.

People use cell phones during meals and this is all staff.

Nursing assistants work, at many time, more than 19 residents to a CNA.

There are rarley supplies to work with to take care of residents with.

People are sometimes worked more than 16 hours in one day.

Poeple, staff and residents are often times treated very poorly.

A staff member was recently assulted by the administrator.

The DON was, in the past fetured in Playboy.

Many staff member show up to work drugged up, wasted out of their minds.

When staff report something, they are punished.

WHY IS ALL THIS HAPPENING??????

Go a step above the DON's head. Contact the state board if these things are happening. Its not right 4 things to be going on like this. An investigation will be done if you do this. Everything done to patients should be charted and if their charting their giving baths during the day when their not its wrong. Whether its a nurse, cna or whomever.

the state will crack down...i just read a report where that was happening in another town..the state came in and fired 8 workers..the nursing home claimed ignorance to this..which isn't surprising because all they are concerned with is collecting the revenue...the hell with the care!! But just remember if you don't think this pertains to you or is important..that it could be YOU that they are waking up in the middle of the night! We all will get old sooner or later!

I never knew you
But now I'm haunted by your past,
How long will this last?

I thought you loved me,
You say you love me,
Life's just a shadow that you cast.

And all my dreams come round in threes always
I'm independent but I'm tied to you
You lied to me, I'd die for you
But I can't read your mind.

I'm lost without you
An empty feeling deep inside
I want to run and hide

I'll let you use me
And just abuse me
But girl I want you to be mine

And all my dreams come round in threes always
I'm independent but I'm tied to you
You lied to me, I'd die for you
But I can't read your mind.

And all my dreams come round in threes always
I'm independent but I'm tied to you
You lied to me, I'd die for you
But I can't read your mind

Inregards to the showers given at night i don't know anything about that, but the showers start at 10;00 a.m.and the residents have lunch at 12:00p.m. and the 2 aides take lunch break at 2:00 p.m.there are approximatelty 25 to 30 showers to be given in a day and the aides have to stop at 4:30p.m. to work the dining room until 6:00 p.m. almost impossible. and inregards to the other statements made above it's all true. The DON and the administrator, are about the most unconcerned when it comes to resident care but a pop can be on a linen cart or a cell phone ring you can be wrote up for that but residents laying in there own feces and urine. and to report that someone is neglecting there job. oh they can't say anything to them because they work so short of staff and employees there are only a number. If the state would do a complete investigation on the nursing home they would find alot more than what has been stated on here.and about the ratio of 19 to 1 staff can be turned into 38 to 1 if your working with the sorry one that hides or stays outside smoking all day. And as far as the assault that is true I don't want to put her name on here because i reaaly cared alot about her and she was one of the best at the nursing home.

the nursing home treats their employees like rabid dogs as long as the "big wigs" are happy, nothing else matters. when writing a report for the state on a particular resident, the don didn't agree with it bc it would make her and the nursing home look bad. so she insisted that the one who wrote it, re write it with exactly what she wanted it to say. plus, it's nothing but a bunch of gossiping girls that work there with their clicks. if you make them look bad by being a good worker, they turn on you. everyone says they care but none really do. it's pitiful how neglected the residents are. someone should turn them in.

ya gotta remember one thing...that there are peak demands for the workers throughout the day. morning/noon/ and time when they all want to go to bed. Each of those times if you take all the rooms and have them ring at the same time that they need assistance to get to the bathroom...everyone one of those patients thinks they are the only one and that you are just waiting for them to ring the button. Patience and maybe a little planning can get the responses spread out and more manageable so that all patients are handled in a decent response time!!!

It has come to my attention that, all of the things being put on topix. I am getting accused of putting on here, I want you to know that I am just not that way my concerns while working at that nursing home were presented to the management while working there. I received no promising results, when something was reported to them so i ask for corporates number to report the things I did not think were right and that's when my problems came. MIne will be settled in court. So I have no reason to cowardly go on here and place statements. So stop assuming it makes an ass outta you and me.

Marita ...I hope you win! Its sad that you have to go to court to make these people change and to force them to do right. If you win..then everyone else wins as well. I don't think of it as being cowardly to air some grievances on Topix, sometimes you DO get info or encouragement or feel good doing it. Yes I know the other replies that come to those that write on here, they're not the most mature or intelligent responses. But as the Lord does...You sift through the wheat and remove the bad. Such as Topix. Stay focus'ed and know that you are doing the right thing dear!

I worked there for 4 months and it isn't take me long to figure out how things are! I have seen employees making out in the laundry room when they should be working and one watching tv during night shift! I also know they always stayed under staffed! One night I worked another aide and I had 60 residents because they wouldn't make anyone from the previous shift stay! I left first chance I got!

Not sure about all the allegations & other employees... but I do know one girl that works night shift that works her little a** off! She is very close to the residents there & tries very hard to make them ALL happy & content...which is probably an almost impossible job. She is also the sweetest & most loving, caring person I have EVER met...I know this to be true, for a fact, because I am DEEPLY in love with her & plan on spending the rest of my life with her! In my opinion...this nursing home is VERY lucky to have her on their payroll!

That is such B.S!Sheila is NOT AT ALL like that...IF you even worked there, you are probably speaking of your own actions...hence the reason you no longer have your job there...dipsh*t!!! I seriously doubt that if she sat & watched tv she'd still have her job after 15 friggin' years either!

The reason I am no longer working there is because that is the worst place I have ever worked! And yes she did set up front and watch tv and yes she was caught with a nurse aid named Frankie! This is no lie! Promise!
