It seems to be a grassroots effort, there are several articles about it when you search the Internet.

Trucker's striking would seem to be a great way to get the country's attention. Most people don't even seem to notice much less appreciate that every convenience they enjoy is due to the hard work and sacrifice of a truck driver!

My uncle is a owner/op and I have not idea how he keeps running with the price of fuel and insurance. I know he's not been able to grow business as he'd hoped, which is sad.

I understand that asking truckers to strike puts them and their companies at risk, but I think it would really make people take notice if they did shut down every truck for at least a day. And I'm sure the money grubbing oil companies (and government officials) would finally have to pay attention then!

I agree a strike is what we need, but can this over-spent nation of ours afford one. Without trucks we won't be recieving anything to the stores, hospitals, ect. I think things need to change, but a strike is a scary thought.

As much as we all love 24/7 convenience have you ever given thought to how much fuel would be saved if stores were closed on Sundays and none were open past midnight?

Sad the people who have a real need to strike can't afford to do so like those Hollywood writers did, truckers can't afford to take time out to whine to get their demands met.
