free searches????

Every site says "free" search for this, that, all searches free.....I have never found a free one yet, hell the whitepages from a public issued phone book won't. Is there a site that I am missing, or do they all cost an arm and leg? I am talking reverse lookups, phone numbers, and address if they are listed.??
