It is only a matter of time before their schemes are exposed to the public! Not to mention the fact that the Director and Deputy Director are more than just friends......The name for this department should be called the Erie County Department of Public Stupidity! County Council is just as bad....What type of people approve a hiring plan and not know where the money is going to come from in two years? It will only be a matter of time before someone dies on their watch. I wonder if the Times News will cover that or will they cover it up as they always do for the county? You better be careful of what you write about in this post it is border line slanderous. Especially, when making statements as bold as the Director and Deputy Director are more than just friends. The Time news mabe should investigate you you slanderous pig. You might think that these message boards are anyonymous, but think again. Remeber what happened to the city employee a few years ago got caught post slanderous information on the web about people. Maybe you should be next. Or you better have some hard core proff to back up your statements.

My proof is the fact that "EX" doesn't have any proof behind his or her statements. Which in turn gives me the right to call him or her a slanderous pig.The statements by "EX" are meant to be damaging lies about two people, hence "Slanderous"

Where is "EX" now? I see that he or she has two people who want to fight his or her battles for him or her. I think I will make a call to Mr. Dibble with the paper and have them check out and track who "EX" really is and we will see who is being slanderous

So you have "proof" that "EX" doesn't have proof? Do you have a crystal ball? Is that why you call yourself "let there be light?" Just wait and see what kind of proof there is! Come on, get over yourself and wake up. Everyone has skeletons in the closet, and since you are SO fired up about that comment, you must have a whole cemetary in your closet! What comes around goes around! The truth will, and is coming out!

I believe that is an invasion of privacy that requires a court order and that would be breaking the law wouldn't it?

We all have are right to privacy, nothing here is a privacy issue. What invasion of privacy would be done if "EX" is tracked down. And dealt with in the manner that is consistant with the law. You give up some of your privacy rights when a person in there own words make false statements in order to cause some harm or damage their character, oh and by the way it is a crime, so you give up some of those rights when you commit a crime. Oh, btw my cemetery of skeletons consists of having a few tickets taken care of by the cops, I have two kids out of wedlock and I eat meat on Fridays during lent.

Wow! I leave for awhile and now I am being "Threatened" by comments that were made in jest. Has "Let there be light" seen some of the other posts on this Topix? The right lawyer could make a killing with all of the "slanderous" statements being made in ALL of the Topix Forum. Last time I checked, Jim Dibble RESIGNED as CEO from the Erie County Times News Digest and has come to be CEO of the Regional Growth Partnership Committee. One would wonder how he would be able to find the ISP if he is no longer at the Times. I do beleive a search warrant would be need to be issued to find that information out. That is according to the ACLU. Funny, people comment on this Topix Forum because they have no other way to speak out on the issues effecting them. Last I knew this great country was still considered a "Democracy" and you have the right to speak out against your government. Well taxpayers, I will let you know if my ISP site is identified. The ACLU has been dying for a case like this, I should know....I work for them now. By the way, since the taxpayers are paying the salary of "Let there be light", why is this person spending time on these posts and not paying attention to the job? Maybe we as taxpayers should get a search warrant and have this person's ISP located? What say you?

the whole problem is the county is already getting & spending about $2million/year they get for the land lines and are doing 1/2 the job if they need 30 "telecommunicators" for this new system and have 21 currenly we will spend $1.2 million for 9 more in a $14million garage because they dont have enough funding for the rest of the equipment,if they cant get the budget right for a building/equipment how are they ever gonna get dispatching right.they could have made this a 1 time expense and reequiped the current centers with "state of the art" technology and we the tax payer would not be looking a 2 mill increase in 2 years.

Peeved in Platea is right. Sad part is the elected officials that sit on the board of directors at these dispatch centers in the county have been trying to work with the county in an effort to compromise and bring forth the best system at the best cost. These board members do not receive pay for their time there. These members do have great concerns for the citizens of erie county. But the ones who control the county won't hear anything but the sound of their own voices. We are truly sorry taxpayers. We have fought the fight for four years now. But there is nothing more that can be done. I hope everyone remembers this next year when there are 3 county council seats up and the year after that when the county executive seat is up. Problem is, you can't get good people to run, because those in control take great pleasure in running them down. For the people, by the people has left erie county for good.

When I saw the headline: Jobs on the agenda, I thought that maybe county council was going to come up with a plan to create PRIVATE sector, wealth producing jobs. But, alas, this county government never discusses that issue, it is simply much easier to create economy destroying public sector jobs.

BREAKING NEWS!!!! CC passed the hiring proposal for the new "Summit on the Hill". Good for them. Since Weindorf and CC have been stating that this is going to save the taxpayers money and provide a better service at no cost to the municipalities, I wonder.....Will Millcreek, Corry and the City of Erie refund the money saved to their taxpayers? I mean the COE alone stands to save 1 million dollars a year. Think of the property tax reduction that would benefit its taxpayers.......
