I believe he was physically trying to harm the girl and beattie went in there and yes I knew Andy, he probably did wave a gun at him. I do believe this man is innocent b/c Andrew Balog was a very EVIL and vindictive man. His family had nothing to do with him and rumors growing up was he killed his wife and his best friend 1 yr later the same way and the corry state police always covered up anything he did because he was a informant and narc. He once prepared a birthday cake for his son with black candles and tombstone which had the intials M.B. which were his wifes, daughters, and former wife of son. He on numerous occassions mentioned to more then just me that if he had found out he only had a few days to live the first thing he would do is kill his daughter and her 2 best friends. He had his dog killed to get back at his son, he took his son to court, he tried to kill himself a day before his arrainment. which he NEVER WENT TO JAIL. Someone has been covering up for andrew balog for many years. he has put out some much evil and harm, If you ask me, he killed himself again because he was afraid this 19 yr old would go to the police. You wait, there will be more but we will be lucky if the corry state police will let the news escape. Ask yourself, why if his wife death was ruled as a suicide that her case is still open in harrisburg? The only one you should feel sorry for is his 2 children that had to be fathered by such a horrible man. They are the ones who should be rejoycing his death. The day I found out the man was dead was a sence of relief for me as well as many others!

the Jillian Nelson that was involved in the Andy Balog thing she is sitting there lieing out of her butt making up stories about Beattie when he was kind enough to let her stay with Mr. balog. Mr. Beattie could have put her out in the snow, where she should have been in the begining. Even her family disowned her because of her drug problem. i currently hope she doesn't think she is going to get away with anything, because she wont. And if it goes to trial she is going to wish she never Mr. Balog. I wonder if the police have even tested her for drugs and alchol and for being a minor she should get somehting for drinking alchol and doing drugs. The whole reason she was staying with Mr. Balog was because she was getting narcotics from him. Hopefully the police get wise and start checking on her instead of putting the full blame on Mr. Beattie

she might have been a addict anyone that has ever came in contact with Balog was addicted. but, she might be lieing and cahnging stories but he was either beating her or raping her. He hated women and had no respect for them.

Yes, He has threatend my life, why do you think Im in NC instead of PA? I wouldnt rule out the fact that she might of killed him since Mr. Beattie heard 'loud noises and banging'. I wouldnt rule out him killing himself either b/c he has already attempted that. It is kinda strange that whoever shot him left the murder weapon. If it wasnt for Mr Beattie it would have been someone else, Im surprised he has lived this long!

After reading these statements, my suspicions seem even more real. I dont know Balog, although we may have met at sometime. I do know Beattie. He has pretty much been a loser since I have known him. My bet is drugs and/or alcohol played a part in this death. From reading these comments We all know that Balogs family and aquaintances hated him and were as dumb as he was. the only question, who is this Nelson girl and where did she come from. Good luck to you all. Hope you get your act together.

TO FORMER CORRY GUY. THE ONLY DRUGS AND ALCOHOL THAT WAS BEING USED WAS BY MR BALOG AND AND MISS NELSON. MR BEATTIE WAS NOT UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ANY. IF MR BEATTIE WAS SUCH A LOSER THAN MAYBE YOU NEED TO KNOW UNDERSTAND HOW HIM AND HIS BROTHERS GREW UP. THEY DID GOOD FOR HOW THEY HAD TO GROW UP. DAVID WAS THE OLDEST AND HE TOOK ALL HS BROTHERS UNDER HIS WING AND MADE SURE THEY WERE FED AND TAKEN CARE OF. SO YOU SHOULDN'T BE SO QUICK TO JUDGE HIM UNLESS YOU KNOW HOW HE HAD TO GROW UP. Alrighty then. So your saying Mr Beattie doesnt, and hadn't, consumed alcohol? Hmmmmmmmmmm doesnt sound like the Dave Beattie I remember. I only remember Dave and the younger brother, Dennis Maybe. However I remember him always tryin to start fights with people. He wanted to be a tough guy. I do know how he grew up. I certainly didnt have a good childhood. I was in a juvenile facilty for a year and had all kinds of trouble with Fred Corbett and the Corry police. Of course it was my fault and I learned. While I am a year older than Beattie, I have had a pretty good life for the past 15-20 years. I have a good job, wife who I have been married to for over 20 years and my grown kids are college educated.
Dave couldnt even keep a wife, hasnt been in his kids life to much and hasnt been behind them when they needed him. His son was in jail for awhile and I know I watched his daughter play softball more than he did over the years. Sounds like father of the year.
So why did Beattie live with Balog if balog was such a loser? And come on please tell me the reaspon the 19 year old was there and where did she come from? I agree with your statement about the reasoning. As i remember balog isnt any super handsome guy.
Finally life can make anyone bitter if you let it. Some move beyond those type of things. Obviously Dave did not!

Nope not a friend of his Ex. I do know her just as I know him. Havent seen him lately, but I did see her at her daughters softball games. Havent talked to her other than say hello in the past 10 years. Not friends with any of the family but I do know her daughter through watching softball.
Glad to hear Dave hasnt drank. So why is his memory foggy concerning that night? No alcohol and no drugsd but no memory. sounds fishy
