Oh GOD. So, Mike Smigiel's ex-assistant, Diana Broomell, who just happens to be running for Cecil Commissioner in the next election, has organized another one of these bogus events. I hope most Cecil countians have better things to do on a beautiful summer day. I hope the Cecil Whig doesn't waste any space on this "event",er, I mean, campaign rally.

Drove by the more than 100 Cecil County residents that care about their taxes being raised several times today. I guess they were all there to support the person you mentioned and were all duped into holding the signs I read that talked about their taxes going up to pay for a stimulus program that will put more small businessmen out of business. Pundits said the Democratic Party was dead in 84, 88, 2000, and 2004. Politics is cyclical, enjoy your time in the sun now, it eventually sets.

Read what the "event" is really about before you make off the wall comments. Taxed enough already,what part of that did you not understand? It's neither Republican nor Democrat,it's everyone as citizens saying enough already.Read up before you comment, the mainstream media doesn't cover these "events". This commenter was discussing the Cecil County event and its organizer, not whatever 'teabag' events that might have been held elsewhere that may have had more credible backers and goals.
Unfortunately the Whig already printed, in advance, what read like a paid political ad for Broomell and this event that featured a guy from Southern Maryland who is making noise about running as a Republican for governor.
What people need to know about Broomell, apart from her past employment, is that she has been aligned with some radicals who would take your property rights away from you, without paying for it, if they thought it was "scenic." Does that sound like a good Republican to you? Like her ex-boss, she puts on and takes off her "Republican cloth coat" as it suits her agenda and political aspirations.
