It all started back in the 80s when the tomato farmers imported illegal Mexicans to pick tomato's and the town leaders embraced them instead of running them out of town, those original Mexicans brought their families and it has spiraled out of control and now no one cares what the town looks like or what happens they just want out because the Mexicans have officially won the war for morristown,
When in Rome... The best thing to do is rent out each room to 4-5 mexicans by the week. You can get 50-60 bucks a head per week. You can make enough off one house to live good in a beaner free city.

Come do you think they really imported them, or do they just normally migrate to agricultural and menial service job area's heritage cause the cheap business owners will hire them and the government doesn't fine enough to those that hire them. And with Obama's plan none of that will matter anyhow. It wasn't the Mexicans fault. Blame your government and all the lazy pillbillies I see around here

All Morristown is is drugs. Pills and meth. And a bunch of god damn ignorant, nasty-ass, hard-ass wannabe little punk bitches. All need their heads clocked a few times. Doubt that would do any good though.

Sadly, you've hit the nail on the head. And, unfortunately, I fear that, ironically, Morristown may actually be a "front-runner-town" of things to come.

You know that guy you described? Well, what enables him to live such a "free and relaxed" lifestyle is the subsidies he's scamming via very generous "public assistance."

I can virtually guarantee that guy had his EBT card and was scamming some other stream of gov't slop.

And as you're aware, it is apparent that growing portion of the US population is CLAMORING to get on the same dole....hey, sure beats working.

But, just like the driving, puffing, Bud-Man, scamming the Gov't slop rots a person's soul from the inside out.

They'll slowly being sleeping later and later, b/c they Can (don't have to stress over rent, it's already paid for).

They'll slowly altering their minds, more and more often, b/c they're bored, and they Can (why not?...don't having to worry about who's paying for food).

And, in short order, they'll be sneering at anyone who looks well-kept (you know, like they've got something to do)....from the belief that this person is some how "rich" and "keeping them down."

I can't blame you for leaving, Sean...but I fear that just about anywhere you go in the upcoming years, you're going to, eerily, begin seeing more and more of Bud-Man's "friends and relatives" sitting beside you in traffic.

I suppose Morristown is just like any place in America, except for Amish communities? Am I right? Or am I right?

in the 6 years I lived there I got to watch the town turn into white trash at an alarming rate, esp. once the economy crashed and the trade workers lost out. It got so bad my only way out was to volunteer for a deployment to Afghanistan for a year so I had the money to leave. Even when I sometimes come back to visit friends (live in Louisiana now) I am often amazed at the nasty looks I get because I drive a nice truck, or the number of "handicap" placards I see in car windows....Look in the eyes of people in town and all you see these days is a person masking their problems with pills and meth...

And Gone...I'm afraid in the coming few years...those same looks will begin to appear in the eyes of those in LS as well. Just as getting on welfare and pills has become more and more acceptable in Mtown...that same life-deadening, community ruining disease will infect its away across the country in the form of free phones and advertisements encouraging any and all to hop aboard the FoodStamp band wagon.
