That's so sad to think we live in such an uneducated society here, but you can't deny the facts.

It's not sad, it's nothing different from 20 years ago according to the same data compiler. They talk about how great and wonderful Morristown use to be 20 years ago. Yet when you look at statistics/facts, they were just as godamn retarded then as they are now.

Politics have nothing to do with the blatant ignorance of the people from this town.

Sean, I have seen many moons, and have lived in different places. Happiness is truly within you. If you have the Lord Jesus Christ living in your heart, you can be happy anywhere. There is a joy I've come to know, and a peace that never leaves me, and that is through Jesus..I used to be so unhappy at times, and I would think if I could just move from here, or if I could just find this or do that, I would be happy. Finally, after years of searching for happiness, I found it, and it came from having Jesus in my heart..There will always be things going on around you that you cannot change, and people will let you down. It really doesn't matter where you live, you can find it too. I pray that you will, it is too good to miss out on, and carries me into eternity. It is Jesus Christ!

I think you're right but I'd use the term comfortable ignorance since I think all too often it's chosen.

The lord jesus christ has nothing to do with happiness. I believe that if you have Skeletor in your heart, you can be happy anywhere. Skeletor owns jesus christ and could kill him in a New York minute. Jesus christ is a wimp and a tool, whereas Skeletor is the ruler of the universe. If you can somehow ask Skeletor to come into your heart, all of your problems will be solved and you'll have eternal life with him. Better yet, he won't even divide you as sheep and goats like jesus said he was going to do. Skeletor is a much better option.

I think there are many people who feel like you do, Sean including myself. And just
because they haven't said anything doesn't mean they are NOT feeling it. But if you
have decided to leave from here & go somewhere else then I'm glad for you. Maybe
you will like it much better. Good luck!!

Unfortunately the religious poster is kind of right (without the Jesus part).. Happiness is within you. We thought like you, thought OMG what if our children grow up to be as ignorant as the mass population around here and last year moved back to South Florida after being away for almost 5 years. I can tell you that we were out of South Florida and back in Morristown in less than 4 months and once again leaving all of our relatives behind. City people may be a little more wittier but are mean. Plain and simple.. Too many thug-like-wanna-bes in major metropolis such as Miami. If you feel somewhere, anywhere, is better that here. Move.. Plan your move and test the new waters. You won't know if you'd be happier there until you go.. For a long time I wondered if I had made the right move for my children's sake. But I can lay my wondering to rest. Though moving 1900 miles wasn't cheap knowing we are in a place that is good for our family is priceless... =)

In response to your post, the most enlightening part of your post is the fact that you cannot ask Skeletor to come into your heart, and your problems cannot be solved and you won't have eternal life with him. Jesus Christ is by no means a wimp or a tool, he is anything but. He is the answer, but you will never know because you won't try Him. Poor soul!

Prove that Skeletor doesn't exist, and prove that you won't have eternal life with him. You can't prove it, why? Because it is now written down, which means it's true. Skeletor pisses on Jesus's face and sh*ts in his mouth and god can't do jack sh*t about it.

Sean, I think that you need to do what is right for you, you can ask other people, but
@ the end of the day what matters is how you feel & think. After all, it is YOUR life &
you are the one that reall matters. Every situation is different, for everyone. Do what
pleases you. You have only got one life & you need to live it. What is right for you
may not be right for others. And vice versa, go where you want to go.

Sorry but your wrong. The Mecans wer brough here to rive down wages and are the reason this place has lost the middle class. Most have been laid-off and went to work for minimum wage thru a temp agency. Once people start to just survive and no longer live, they lose heart. You can not sell a home for what its worth anymore. So alot are stuck just trying to keep the basic bills paid. Discrectionary spending is gone. Look at the drop in sales tax collections compared to 10-20 years ago. When factories here were working citizens they had to pay living wages to keep workers, now they can pay slave wages and really don't care about workers at all. So why should the workers care? They see the huge amounts of profit the companies make, yet they are constantly threatened to be replaced with Mexicans , or the factory threatens to move to Mexico. Berkline actually did move to Mexico. Layed off hundreds. Citizens are left with the choice of either surviving any way they can, even to selling pills and such to make ends meet. Or they can walk away from everything here and hope to find better quality of life somewhere else. When they choose to leave over surviving here, they ruin their credit and usually end up on the street. In short, Your way off on Why folks here have went down hill. They didn't do it to themselves. The county, city , and the factory managers did it to them intentionally. Now they just raise property taxes and utility rates to try and gain back the massive tax losses. Now these idiots stand in commission meetings looking like retards trying to figure out what went wrong. The most dangerous person in the world is a man who feels he has nothing left to lose. Remember that 5 yrs from now.
This is an excellent post. I will revisit this forum in 5 years to see all the negative replies, if Morristown even exists. It was my hometown, but it is not anymore. Good Luck with the future intrastructure.
