House fire on Steve Brown Rd

We were driving by and we were shocked to see that a house on Steve Brown Road appears to have been destroyed by fire. Does anyone know what happened ?

yes it's me. I figured it was only a matter of time since we wouldn't rent the place. But the wiring had been cut out and damage had been done. We were not going to spend more money fixing it to rent. It's crazy. The guilty parties will get there's in the end. They like to play with fire so they'll get burned! They have no respect for others and no respect for themselves. I guess that's what drugs will do. The police in your area are a joke. People like them get put UNDER the jail here. I could go on forever but I won't. It was good talking with you, take care of yourself.

We live on Steve Brown Road, we live about 3/4 past Johnny Taylor's home. Is this a case of arson ? has it been investigated ? This is the 4th dwelling that has burned in the immediate area. Please get back to us, we are overwhelmed with concern who might be next.???

Thanks for your post, otherwise I wouldn't have known. Sheriffs Department is on the way out. Hopefully they put the responsible people away and make it safer for law abiding folks that live there.

We had a place there (vacation home) but it was broken into and destroyed before we could finish it. We put it up for sale at that point. Now they have burned it down. Yes, it is arson. We called the police when we saw your post. Thank you. How no one in the area knows who is doing these things is beyond me. It will continue until they are put away. The good people that live there need to take control because the police are doing nothing. They did nothing when our place was broken into and I expect the same this time. We will not be back. I wish you the best.

Sharon, my entire family is extremely upset. We can feel your pain. What I can not understand this point is,if the fire department was dispatched to extinguish the fire, why wasn't the sheriff's department notified, or, were they ?
We live about 3/4 to 1 mile from your home. To our knowledge this has been the 4th building to burn in recent years in that immediate area. I am a former lawman, I will not stand for this activity. This must come to a halt now,
and the responsible person(s) should be prosecuted. My son
a\n law and I drove up to property at 4:00 PM, and, we did not see the sheriff's department on scene. When did you call them ? I am having a big problem with this activity and how it all is being handled. We have other crimes in the county than drugs. It is time that the sheriff office begin to focus on this type of activity.

I have no idea if the fire department went out there. From what I heard they burned it this past Friday night. We found out today after seeing the post from Clyde. The police are doing nothing.

here is why they Burn your house in poor valley, they go back in the broad day-light and get all the tin and every thing else that will sell , they take it to morristown to the crusher, mayberry, and i think there are like 3 different places there that buy Junk.all you have to do is stake the place out where your house burned and you will catch them red-handed. THESE PEOPLE ARE DESPERATE druggies, nothing they wont do for a dollar.

The owners of 433 Steve Brown Road are heart broken over the loss of their property. The sheriff's office needs to step up an intense investigation to seek those person(s)
responsible. It is costing home owners thousands of dollars in losses. These thugs are not rocker scientist's,they are on borrowed time. I just need with the help of everyone to get the sheriff's office on the street's and do a real investigation.
I wish people like you would come out and voice your frustration. I live on the far end of Steve Brown Road, and, I will NOT stand for this type of thugs from taking over our streets and community.

all of the above names have went through sessions court MANY times and come out with probation and time served!what time did they serve?Jim Hannon you might start your search there.They are all known drug dealers and addicts.They dont seem to ever have any money but they are pushing the pills this would make one wonder now wouldnt it?

WOW !,m thank you so much for your time and input. I am gravely concerned that this entire criminal enterprise is like a cancer, devouring the lives and personal property of many in our beloved community residents. I am becoming
personally annoyed by the lack of interest by our sheriff.
I have made phone calls to Scott's office and left messages, at this time I have not received a call back. I do not want to be a critic of the sheriff's office, but, we have a serious situation that needs to be addressed immediately. We can allowed this type of criminal activity
to exist in our county without taking the appropriate action. I have personally spoken to the owners of 433 Steve Brown Road, they are sickened by the apparent arson fire to their residence. Jerry the owner and I have spoken, and he is upset about the lack of concern
by the sheriff's office. The owners are living in Louisiana, and, were told by the sheriff's office, upon there return they will then take a report. In the meantime the crime scene sits without being processed and evidence will eventually degrade.
Yes, I am very upset !. I now believe that changes must occur to improve services by the sheriff's office. The sheriff's office can not just focus on the drug activity. It is the sheriff's job to insure the Grainger County receives equal protection across the board. I am a retired lawman with over 25 years of experience, I was not sometime ago not considering a run for sheriff here in the county, but, I have been listening to more and more our folks that equal protection is not on the table. Now, to all the thugs, career criminals, thief's and drug dealers. I can guarantee and give our beloved community my word,if I do decide take a run for sheriff
out of frustration, you will not at all enjoy your new home at out jail. AND, for our community, I would serve you as I would my own family, because I consider my community MY FAMILY.
To finalize my frustration on these thugs that think they rule the streets of Grainger. I will continue to hunt you down and find a law enforcement agency that will finally end your rein of terror. It is time that my community receives the protection and comfort of knowing that the entire CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE is apprehended. The mountains and Cherokee Lake are so beautiful,that's what made us want a place there. It's unfortunate that the crime in the area is so bad. Hi Guys, as a former lawman, I am pursuing any leads. I do have some, but, I need to reinforce the information. No happy with the SO and how you were treated, not in the least.

Shouldn't the fire marshall be investigating this? What about your insurance co? Seems they would be pushing the SO to get this closed. To the owners: so sorry this has been your experience in TN, we really aren't all like that. There has just been way too many years of the good 'ol boy network, it's not easy to change but we are starting to.
