It is unbelievable some of the trash talk on the threads that discuss the deaths of these two young boys. Despite what one may believe religiously, the fact remains 2 young boys died. Their families deserve respect, prayers, courtesy and of course some privacy. I know Todd as well, and have known him for many years. He would have given his life for his son, and as he said last nite, had been asked by God if he would take 10 years with his son, he would have taken just 10 seconds. These children loved life, loved God and loved their families. Whether you believe in God or not, you have one thing in you that you deserve to dish out to others. It is called respect--- not trash!

Perhaps you should re-focus, these trolls are neither liberal or civil. I've read Revelation, and I know the God who gave the message to John, no where does it mention liberal as being responsible for the Supreme Courts decision on prayer. You certainly won't find a single liberal who would condone the nasty comments of any of these thoughtless trolls. I would suggest you use better judgment when making your broad brush accusations and using the Bible as your weapon.
I do believe this is the problem with people today. They should use their Bible as their weapon. It is the shield. The word of God. If more people used their Bible as their weapon, we wouldn't have sick people in this world who laughed at another one's loss, instead they would offer compassion an pray for those hurt by the tragedy instead of saying sick things as they did only to hope to intentionally hurt someone more.

I know some people "balk" at religion. It is true tho that if you hold your Bible as your weapon and you have faith, your life will be so much better. For those that don't believe, try it just for a week. You will see.

The prayers are continuing. This is a tragedy that will certainly won't be forgotten. These children died so tragically, so young- yet in their young lives- they touched so many people. May they rest in peace and may the families get their comfort from family, friends and most importantly their God.

WBIR reports many violations at German Creek Marina. Don't assume you know the whole story. I launch my boat from there and have to get in the water to do it. With improperly grounded electrical system anyone could have been killed WITHOUT swimming. Merely unhooking my boat in the water could have killed me. Let this go. If you have no compassion, find another outlet for your garbage.

think she wants to sell her car cheap seeing she has no use for it anymore?
did he have any video games or laptop she wants to sell cheap to get rid of any reminders of her failure as a parent? I would be interested in buying them.
did you ever think she may be upset because she was not there to keep an eye on them like a good parent.
i think its possible she may have stayed home to entertain a male friend.

It is absolutely appalling at some of the things that are said on here. These people are Christian. They aren't "glad" their children are in a better place. They miss them tremendously. As far as the allegations that these people weren't controlling their children, that is absurd. These children were swimming for goodness sake, and had you been there you would have known it was not at the dock itself as the reports have stated. Also, according to the news there have been MANY violations at the marina, so many and so serious in fact, their power has been threatened to be discontinued if the violations are not corrected. It doesn't matter if a parent is Christian or not when it comes to the death of a child. They are going to grieve no matter their religious beliefs. Prayers continue for these families, for the precious children. Their lives on Earth were short lived, however they will never be forgotten. They leave behind a lifetime of memories, many who love them and many who mourn and grieve over them not being here.

the family should be happy god choose their kids to help FBC generate revenue.
We all know the pastor should never have to drive a car over 1 year old and the bible says somewhere that he should have an expensive luxury car somewhere I know it does even if he wrote it in himself in red ink no less.

Yes, but were they swimming in a safe area? IF you read the report carefully, the boat dock isn't charged with anything to do with the deaths yet. At any rate, people shouldn't swim in between boats. So what are you saying, that they were out in the middle of the lake and this happened? Yes, I agree, people are being cruel, but let's not lie about stuff either.

1.You fail to mention that the problem that killed the kids was on the family members boat not with the dock.

2.You make it sound like the dock was in serious violation, but actually it was minor problems. If there was ANY danger do you think they would allow them to stay open. They have 30 days to come up with a plan to fix the issues then if they do not they (state) will turn it over to local power providers to decide.

3.It has been a decade since I worked at a dock but I think it is a law about not swimming in their no wake zone. Do you know how easy it is to miss a swimmer from a boat? Do you have any idea what a boat prop would do to a body? Any parent with common sense would not let kids swim where there is a good chance a drunk boater may be

4.They were not swimming but climbing to the top of an old 1976 houseboat and jumping off. That itself is dangerous, and could have been the cause of the wires coming into contact with water.

5. your babble says that when a christian dies they go to a paradise and live happily ever after with no worries, and god has reasons for taking people when he does. So yes the parents should be happy and be thanking god for taking them and sending them to their reward so soon without having to worry about living another 70 years and suffering pain and heartache. But some religions say when a man dies serving his god he goes to his reward and is given 70 virgins. Those virgins have to come from somewhere and it does not say female virgins. Chances are the boys were virgins so it is possible they are now being used as a sex toy for a Muslim martyr

You sound like any other money hungry christian telling only the parts of a story that make you look best.
If an impartial jury were given only facts about this there is no doubt that they would put blame on the boat owner for not keeping the boat maintained, the kids for swimming and diving were they should not be, and the parents or guardians for allowing the kids to break rules and run wild unsupervised.

No one has ever said why the mom was not with the rest of her family. If she is so depressed could it be that she thinks its her fault for not being there to supervise the kids?

Regardless of the circumstances, regardless of every ones religious beliefs or lack thereof, regardless of whether you are a heartless bastar*d or not the bottom line is 2 boys are gone. Nothing will bring them back. This back and fourth bickering and he said, she said, crap won't change the result.

Did any of you who are on here go to the service? Did you stay for the whole thing? Did you hear Noahs Father speak? If not, I suggest you watch the video.

How much did FBC charge to attend the funerals.
I hear they were selling tickets to it.
god knows they would not let a money making event like that pass without some profit.
